‘No Mr Dibbs, actually I do expect you to talk’

A snowy footpath which had partially melted and then frozen hard leaving a glassy rippled surface with almost no friction. I couldn’t walk on it but could jus cycle slowly, half inflated tyres helped.

If I was his dad, this might have been me! Good luck, someday you’ll look back on this and laugh (probably).
Oh, and this thread is useless without pics!

I can’t help looking at the rain teeming down outside the windows, and thinking I can spot a potential flaw.

Plus, if you ever buy a car on finance, don’t try turning up with just the card.

The paper bit is the license, the photocard isn’t actually a license

    ^ this.

Had a friend who set up automatic forwarding on separate email addresses in different offices to the other account. This was fine until an e-mail hit one account, got forwarded to the other, got forwarded back, got forwarded on, forwarded back, forwarded on…

Why do people still buy Landrovers?
They’re slow, uneconomical, handle badly, unreliable and leaky.

At least the Diisco is comfortable.

But I did grin all the way home in my new Defender last night.

Out of interest, can anyone think of another western country with close relatives (children, grandchildren ) of the head of state actually serving in the various wars we’ve thrown? Most seem to be going the classic pampered rich kid route, but I may be mistaken.

King scallops with the coral removed, wrap the edge in streaky bacon with a small sprig (about 3 leaves) of rosemary tucked inside the bacon alongside the scallop flesh. Skewer them to hold the together when cooking and grill until bacon is cooked, at which point the scallop should be cooked through without being rubbery. Use balsamic vinegar as a dipping sauce.

    Enjoy!

MrsF, can I suggest about 15 slightly unstable pedestals, 15 very expensive vases, and then let Teddy loose. You’ll soon do lots of running.

Neighbours’ granddaughters are Cadence and Rogue (not Rouge), i’ m not sure the mother really knows what they mean.

For a test to see if your name will ruin your child’s life chances, put the letters QC after any full name you choose. If it sounds ridiculous, your condemning her to life as a McDonalds drivethrough operator

If you look inside the top of the door frames there’s a recessed screw thread on each door which is where the bottom of the rack attaches and positions the rack.

Blower, essel, did either of them make it to the commemoration of the RCAF memorial at Middleton-St-George back in about 1985? If so I probably met them. I went as part of the air cadets honour guard. A humbling day.

And for the crew, may I offer Sgt. Eric Parker, Observer (navigator) on 214 Sqn Stirlings . Unfortunately he did not survive The raid of 12th March 1943. My great uncle and I was named after him.

I’d also like to add Sgt. (later Sqn Ldr) Jack Onions DFM and bar, our next door neighbour when I was young and an early hero of mine. He won flew Battles and Blenheims operationally in the war but also served under Bomber Harris in the 1930s bombing the north-west frontier and Afghanistan in Hawker Hinds (how things have changed).

My Nukeproofs arrived Monday. First pads for years and only one ride but they feel good so far, noticeable standing up, but not at all riding. I do have thunder thighs (21″) and the XL are comfortable.

And it riles the thinkers right up! They’ve just spent the best part of 6 months agonizing over a new bike purchase. Reeling off endless amounts of dribble on forums about carbon lay ups, axle paths and shock tuning

owners then feel they have to reel off endless amounts of dribble on cycling forums about how much fun they are, how well they ride, how well they descend (thats what we ride to the top for, eh!) etc. With no real proof/data/figures to back up these claims.

but truth be told, they’d be happy riding any bike.

I’m in Laneheads, just below the Syke but also looking at houses in that area atm as well.

Plus Points – Close to riding – I’m 30ft from a bridleway at the moment, Good nursery and infants/junior schools, local pubs are ok, great views, easy access for the M65, going to Tod/HB Gorple way.

Downsides, It’s in Burnley, had my bikes lifted from my garage last year, Poor secondary schools, it’s in Burnley, tricky roads if it snows, fat bloke with a five living nearby, it’s in Burnley.

5’10 here and the 17″ fits perfectly, 16″ felt way too small.
