Over on the wrong side of the Pennines unfortunately (Yorkshire exile in Lancs). I managed to shorten the hoses successfully without bleeding, all working fine now.

Nice idea but IF I manage it properly I’m hoping I won’t need to bleed them, and a bleed kit costs the same as a new hose.

Swung by Merlin this weekend to help a friend pick up his new road bike and left with a new set of SLX brakes :-)

Had a 93 al-mega, best jump bike ever. I’d love to see an e- stay 29 er or 27.5 . The al-mega chainstays were 15.5″, it felt like I could ride up walls in the granny gear.

This months MBR has a Five RS V. Five 26 comparison. The upshott was tha 27.5 has a very different geometry and you can feel the difference, but each has areas where it excels. I guess the question is have you money you can spare?

Parliament is always going to sit in London but there’s precious little need for the bulk of the civil service to do so.

Why does parliament need to be in London? It’s basically a big meeting/conference, with some admin support. Cabinet is the same especially with modern communication links. Put parliament in the most deprived ward in the country for 5 years, all the lobbyists would move or stop lobbying, each is a result for some of us. Having to live there when the house is sitting is going to incentivise them to do something about the deprivation. I suggest we also use the local unemployed on compulsory work to do admin support for parliament.

As it’s a Landrover the wiring diagram is at best, aspirational rather than descriptive. Have you checked the switch for shorts? Other than that it’s out with the AVO and check wires. Not a sparks, just a Solihull sufferer. I need to sort out my indicator and reversing light next.
