I believe that an Australian Sea Fury shot down a Mig-15 during the Korean war.

It was a Royal Navy Sea Fury flown by Lt. Peter Carmichael. The Sea Fury was influenced by the FW190 but have a look at some of the other Hawker projects around the same time with the last generation of big piston aero engines. The aerodynamics of the aircraft mean that while the Mustang wing is extensively modified for air racing the Sea Fury is already close to perfect. And finally, one of my favourite Sea Fury videos:

My wife has a Pendleton, albeit a different model, and it’s a pretty good bike. Proper components rather than being a BSO, not super heavy and handles ok. I’d also go with the Black Friday route or BC membership discount.

I thought of getting one, in the end I used the cost to justify getting a GoPro, as it gives me the fisheye lens, and better resolution and equivalent low light pertto my current body.

My friend is meeting an old school fried for Dinner in a posh restaurant. It turns out the old school friend is a woman, and has grown up to be rather hot. So he feels that he needs to be in control at the meal / post meal drinks despite this not being a date as such, but a couple of singelton years has led him to deleberately under develop his control mechanism – mentally or physically.

@Kirky, The bikes is a 56cm if that’s any use to you. First disclaimer, I’ve not had a road bike before so I’ve not even tried to make comparisons. I like the one finger braking and the control on corners. I’m also a big fat bloater so the extra stopping is good on descents, ymmv. I run mine on 28mms and I’m surprised at the comfort on rougher surfaces. It seems to transfer power well and there seems to be some good deals around. This years models hasn’t changed a great deal
