There may be easier ways but I open the route with gpsmarengo and replot in a new tab of gpsmarengo with desired number of trackpoints then use gpsbabel to load back to my garmin edge hth

    +1 for the bl 700
IME gp recyco are at least as good as other branded LSD batteries like the Sanyo ones

IME these hubs are bombproof and last forever, the listing says it is for a racing bike so presumably it is 130.They are not so light so maybe ok for a winter build.
It looks like it has paired spoke holes though, there is a calculation for using with a normal rim if you do a search on google

It’s rims from, fine adc who are the importers, Lots of hubsets on eBay. from taiwan/China from £70 ish, I paid starting price of about 65, do a search for 6 pawl, that will bring a variety up. I went with 24/28, would want to go any lower for a front wheel and its didn’t recommend it hth

you can put together a 1300 gram wheelset quite easily and still have change from £200 using new components- IRD Cadence rims-780 grams, taiwanese hubs 277 grams, dt revs 240 grams, aluminium nipples 15 grams, it was a no brainer for me 🙂

clean your rims every month with IPA, I have found swissstop green to be excellent both dry and wet and mine are still going strong after 4000 miles.
planet x brakes offer excellent stopping power and usually come with swisstop green and are often seen for sale 2nd hand, I got my cnc’d ones for £40 with the swisstops 🙂

any mtb rim is tubeless compatible in theory, just use an old valve and gaffer and electrical tape, if the tyre is really slack you may need to use more layers of tape or use a tighter fitting tyre.I have used this system with various different tyre rim combos for a few years now without any issues with home made sealant, a compressor make things easier especially with looser tyres

you can build a quality and light wheelset for well under 600, under 400 actually less if you factor im second hand parts my front 32 hole front wheel is 580 grams using soulkozak hub, dt revs and stans olympic, there are lots of decent rear hubs on ebay from china which come in around 200 grams for leas than 80 pounds so all in all you have a very light wheelset reletively cheaply. iam not anexperienced wheelbuilder infact these were my first and they are still true and not at all flexy

I have the magicshine mj818 rear light and loved it, extremely bright, I use it in daylight too.It is well made but needs a little fettling to make battery and light unit totally waterproof and you need to fashion something to clamp onto to get the angle right, see mtbr forums.
I was unlucky as mine gave up the ghost after 30 hours use and I am waiting for a replacement.

If you're riding a fixed with I assume long cranks – ie 170-175mm you'll be getting a lot of pedal scrape when using 650 wheels, which isn't very sensible in traffic.

errr how when they are smaller 🙄
anyway as above brakes wont reach without using some contraption, plus if its a proper fixed wheel then the rear spacing will also be different to these wheels

seems a bit ott for a tail light IMO , batteries last approx 50,000 hours

DO ride nearly every day ie at least 6 out of 7 and the weight will drop off you, if you can commute to work- (at least 30 minutes each way at 65-80% intensity) this will help with weekday motivation 🙂
Do longer rides at the weekend with your mates.
your legs will hurt every day in the beginning but that will subside once you have been doing it for a few weeks.
you will soon be very fit and fast(if you are bothered about that) and be down to your target weight in a matter of months.
FYI I have lost 9 kilos in the past 3 weeks since I started following this regime with 100 minute commute every day and at least one 2.5 hour plus ride at the weekend.I still drink beer and wine excessively and eat well 😀

sl has a slightly shorter shock giving 120 travel,200×50 shock will make it like a standard prophet. i am running a 200×57 on my sl for slightly more travel

if it was my frame and I couldnt get it fixed for free I would just keep on riding it, it is perfectly safe as the downtube is always in tension.

panaracer is not recommended as a ghetto tubeless tyre as they are liekly to blow off the rims as you are experiencing(stated on a number of websites including stans afaik), guess you were just lucky they stayed on the 717's
