Fair enough. Happy to be told I’m going too fast. I’ll slow it down in future.

Its not the belting im worrying about, just trying to hold an steady pace (14mph). I have a bell but find it ineffective and tend to resort to verbal warnings most of the time now.

I have wondered if it was worth asking the council to paint a huge white stripe over the paving strips to make it crystal clear.

I went to a scrap yard and picked one up for my astra. Got one for £50.

Get a lift there though and ask for the wrong colour. It was £70 for a blue bumper for my blue astra but £50 for a silver one. Fitted myself no worries.

Just got a text from him; says he has read the thread on STW and is fleeing to Chile.

If you rush to Edinburgh airport, you just might catch him.

With the time you have spent moaning on here, you could have fixed the trails yourselves. Fact.

“The time needed to complete and file this form will
from transactions with a broker or a barter exchange is vary depending on individual circumstances. The average time is:
    Recordkeeping, 5 hr.,
Learning about the law or the form, 3 hr.,
Preparing and sending the form to IRS, 4 hr.,”

    A good days work then.

You have over looked Edinburgh. And possibly Bristol.

Thanks for the input, given me a few things to research.

Fair enough, sounds like some restoration is long over due.

Does anyone ride phantoms? I thought it was just a marsh that everyone rode once, regretted and then stayed away from.

Put the seat on it. Clamp that between your legs. Twist the frame/hit with rubber mallet. Seat survived, as did post.

I have had my card cloned twice in the last month, both 2 days after a purchase from CRC. The first time they tried to make £15 payments to o2, the second time it would seem they bought two season tickets, bus tickets and a flight with Ryanair.

It would seem that their website is compromised.

How can you prove it is normally distributed data though?

There is a sport clinic in durham dedicated to taking pro atheles and allowing them to safely take illegal doping substances. There are some people making a killing helping people cheat. This seems no different.

Has anyone brought up the On-one chain suck issue?

Any frame that saws itself in half when it sees a puddle is a poor investment.

Apart from that my Inbred is a total weapon, comfortable on the climbs and nimble on the way down, jumps well too.

Halfords is cheap as long as you are willing to buy a half a pint of the stuff.

I wish I only had one bike. Turns out two bikes cost a fortune to look after and then no one wants them when you try to sell them. Give me a horse or a child any day.

I had the same size for a hose olive and barb.

Are 29″ not impossible to manual/drop? I had thought the rear centre distance would make the nose hard to lift.

Any history of running or fell walking or strange cycling practices (seat too low, single speed)? I.E other activities that could be bad for knees.

Manchester. I believe they staged a few uni races there before chirstmas. Its the same tape, if not the same people.

I have seen a certain uni club using that tape. They may need to be a little more subtle about their use of private land.

This seems to be the key bit:

The rise in popularity of “North Shore” style riding in recent years has inspired some riders to modify the landscape in ever more dramatic ways. The discipline, which originates from the north shores of Canada, involves incorporating elaborate man-made obstacles into the trails – a trend which the MoD says is a step too far:

“We have found that a number of biking ‘courses’ have been created on the estate without our knowledge or approval,” continued the MoD spokesman. “This not only increases our risk under our duty of care, but will almost always be an offence under the habitat regulations, which protect the SSSI and SPA status of the training areas.

Stress ups your appetite, kids up your stress.

Just eat less. Its not a sin to be hungry.

I think that diet alone can only lower it by 15%

You need to take something (statins) if you want a drastic improvement.

I think since no one has heard of anyone getting into trouble for carrying a knife in a outdoors capacity, its probably overlooked. Since farmers and folk on shoots get to carry guns, a knife seems a litle insignificant.

Thanks for the responses, I think I’ll just go for it.

I just didn’t fancy buying a pint of each type, just stick to the 5.1 from now on.

I set the limit screw such that 9 on the shifter was just past the bottom of cassette, but still on the highest gear, then with some delicate indexing 8 on the shifter becomes a ghost gear between 8 and 7 on the cassette, then 7 on the shifter was 7 on the cassette and so on. Seems fairly happy on a little test ride.

Don’t have the cassette tool or chain whip. Was hoping there would be a cheats way to get round it.
