General rule if its above the neck it will be fine, if its below give it a rest.
Personally I find if its just a head cold being outside helps.

Anecdotally (Phone call home to my mum) cairngorm has had the most snow for many years, some of the gully’s are completely filled in. But down at the aviemore level little to no snow.

If you are meaning dealing with the other parties insurance don’t even bother (based on my experience with Zurich in a simple car claim). Either by intent or accident they aren’t set up to deal with individuals. If you can get someone else to do the chasing and legwork so much the better. I got nowhere for three months but within 24 hours of getting my insurance/claims management company involved they were back in touch and things progressed.

I was knocked off a few years ago, I think I used the legal cover that came with my house insurance to persue a claim. Even though it was cut a dried case, clipped from behind, driver stopped, police involved (more for the car that drove into the back of his stationary van) it still took over 6 months to get resolved completly.

There was a cannodale trail that got a very good review in this very magazine, only singlespeed at that price though. The geared model wasn’t that much more expensive.

I’ve got the routing working once but it was determined to route me back to the start rather than continuing on the route.

On a sort of similar note, how do you get the next turn info displayed when following a route?

I have been doing a bit of reading up on this and some people have had problems with certain tires on crests, makes sense really the crest is about 6mm wider that some 700c rims. In turn its only a little wider than stans own iron cross rim.

The other thing is that if you are running tubed roadie tires and were trying to get near maximum pressure I don’t think the crest is rated high enough as they are meant to be used with bigger low pressure tires.

I’m also having a rim dilemma so would be interested in suggestions.

If you go for a custom Timbuktu bag you can spec reflective trim as well as actually using reflective material for the body of the bag. From memory they had high vis orange and yellow as well as one that appeared black but had glass beads impregnated so was very reflective.
OK you will have to pay shipping and duty but you do get a lifetime guarantee.

Last time I went there were quite a lot of brands there but depending what they have on their display they might not have the actual size, more one of each model.
Bear in mind when you see Madison or Paligap in the show guide they are the importers for a number of brands.

My 10 speed kmc link failed on me on a flat cycle path ride, chain and it are only a couple of hundred miles old. I’ve not had a chance to try getting it apart. To be fair I’ve had a sram link do the same to me.

The countryfile lot do seem to rotate the brands quite a bit.
I’m sure the went through a period of covering up brand labels with gaffa tape.

Aren’t those the standard chainrings in the picture? I was expecting more of a difference between the teeth.

To be fair they are good for getting little bits like that, crimps for cable ends, there little rubber bits That go on cables, brake rotor bolts… My local one has all those sort of things on the one display so you don’t have to explain what you want.

Also use the bucket trick. Leave the wheel on a bucket for 30 minutes or longer then flip. It helped my continental tire that had very leaky sidewalls.

Shouldn’t that be negative, isn’t one of the rules of eBay that you have thew item to sell?

You will get probably get a load of suggestion to keep it in the house but I h gave never seen why that’s more secure anyway.
Probably best bet is fond out what your insurance company is happy with.

I suppose as there isn’t a named distillery it might be a different one if you bought another bottle.
Do all the supermarket ones taste the same?

Not genuine? From the same factory as the “genuine” but that has run off a few extra or factory seconds.
If it’s too good to be true it probably is.
Almost worth a out at that price anyway.

From personal experience I can’t find anything breathable enough for me that is waterproof. I’m starting to look at the paramo stuff that uses Nikwax analogy but is seems pretty expensive new.
Isn’t the theory that add soon as you open pit zip the membrane can’t function as the moisture condenses rather than staying a vapor?

Evans will match the ”same” as long as its in stock. The wording between the two listings are slightly different so were they saying it wasn’t the same?

That auction house had very regular sales, pretty much weekly. I’m not sure if they list all stuff online or if you’d have to turn up in person.

In theory the brake fluid itself could be a hazard considering the safety instructios on the bottle.
I would have thought you would be better off declaring what it is at the counter, then if its accepted they would be responsible for return/refunding rather than just disposing.
I’ve posted a number of brakes without issues since these regulations came in.

relevant bit of the highway code
Flashing lights are permitted by you are also meant to have pedal, front and rear reflectors and lights that conform to a BS standard.
The also a thread recently about allowed power of lights.

Not to be harsh on Garmin but I suspect it might be the terms of their licence to use the ordnance survey maps. All the vendors prices of standalone maps are in the same area.
What would be useful if like their car satnavs they gave you one free update.

    riddoch

Cheapest way to buy the maps is part of a bundle, looking at evans it would have been only an extra £10 to go from the performance to the ultimate performance bundle.

isnt there about three or four different versions of each specialized tire, non folding (~£20), folding 2bliss (~£30), grid (~£35) and possibly a s-works made of tissue paper lightweight version.

On the receipt thing most high street stores offer gift receipt that doesn’t show the price but will allow easy exchanges. Not sure if Evans even have that as an option.

    riddoch

If you take in the sale of goods act as Philfive suggests they’ll kindly point out that they are under no obligation to exchange of the goods that are fit for purpose.
Just because something is the wrong size no shop is under legal obligation to exchange but it is good customer service to do so. As it is there own policy they are entitled to impose whatever conditions they like. I would guess reciept would be proof that it hasn’t been shoplifted.

Having said that if you give them your details they can access your purchase history but if it was someone just buying a gift they probably wouldn’t have done that.

The download map is locked to a specific unit once it’s installed. The map on the SD card is locked to that specific SD card, you can copy the map files but unless they are on the correct SD card they won’t work. Each SD card and unit has a unique ID number so the maps will have that built into the file. Many years ago it was in plan text so you could open up the file in text editor and change the number so you could use it on a different card or you changed the ID of the SD card to match the original.
What’s also annoying is that they ship the 1:50k maps on an SD cards just large enough to hold them so you can’t put any other maps on the card.

Garmin have two methods of locking their maps, either to the SD card or to unit. If the ioffer is the same as the bundled maps they will be locked to the SD card and transferable between units.

Amazon normally match the lowest online price, if wriggle were listing the performance bundle at that price Amazon could have matched it by accident.

Was Amazon price matching the wiggle deal?
