I volunteered at the Paralympics and the differences in the kit is phenomenal even at the Olympic level. The britsh trike and handcycles were fully tricked up bits of carbon loveliness that weighed virtually nothing. Some of the other nations (I think it was Czech reblic and south Africans that were at the training site most often) felt like like they were made of pig iron, having to lift them in and out of the transport lorry was a challenge.
I think there was only one or maybe two manufacturers of handcycles apart from the nations that had gone fully custom (Italy and the UK).

Just weighed mine for a laugh, 17.5kg or 38.5lb in old money. I have to say that the weight really isn’t noticeable when riding.

Carrying a spare tube isn’t quite so practical.
I did have a go trying to get mine to inflate tubeless but I couldn’t get enough air in with my track pump. The tyres were new so hopefully may have needed a bit of time with a tube to shape them properly.

What I can’t really understand though is why they still use a bloody fashion blogger (with no appreciable interest in or understanding of cycling) as a contributor… WTF has she got to do with anything? its still a bit “London-Centric” IMO…

Cookeaa that will be anna glowinski founder of cycling clothing company, member of MuleBarGirlsSigmaSport team who seems do a bit of everything including Enduro and road racing and pulls a better wheelie than I can . :D

In my experience it isn’t just a random person that deals with the claim. It’s outsourced to a company that deals with the replacement that has some knowledge of bikes and is responsible for sourcing replacement. I would guess that in some cases they might have preferred suppliers, so you would get a brand they deal with. Again in my experience my Orange evo that I’d built up with 2nd hand bits (X0 level) was matched to a new Scott scale.

“What colour jersey is it for does a good interview?”
It was more as team leader I’d have expected Sky, as slick media operation, to have provided media coaching.

I liked Porte feeding the canondale train, in his interview the were jealous of the Froome cakes. Guessing there’s a few spare now. He does need to work a bit on his interviews though, comes over a bit dry.

The 44mm option seems to be slightly less common. The probikekit website has a very good headset search function but it only returned a couple of headsets with 44mm ID but not any that come as a set with a 11/8 top half. I’m building up a puffin at the moment that has the same dimension but I’m gone for a hope pick n mix bottom half.
That chris king was a bargain and I they are lovely.

YoKaiser, are you sure the king headset is the right size? When I looked any the PSA there was only a 49mm rather than the 44mm you need on the rooster.

Is the advantage (for shimano) that a frame designed for thus style will only be able to use shimano brakes?

Oh wait I’ve bought it, though may have second thoughts when the missus finds out as I think she’ll notice this one. :-)

Another vote for the lezyne. Used it successful to get tubelessness to work too.
Off to investigate this hirame pump head of which you speak.

I’ve only used them once and I had to ring them up after a week to remind them to send it.
Some companies like evans make it clear if something is sitting in their warehouse or in a distributer/suppliers one.

I wonder if you could use Eric Pickles as a standard measure of how clear a path needs to be. If he fits it’s fine, to be fair you could almost use me in the same way.
The problem with Mr Pickles is that he is very keen on making high level popular statements of what councils should do (weekly bin collection, no parking enforcement, etc) but very wooly on how they should fund all it with
grants cut way more than central government, freezes to council tax etc.

Im sure there was a case in the paper a few weeks ago of someone being charged with criminal damage for clearing over grown bushes at the side of a footpath. There might be a difference for breaking a few branches as opposed to going tooled up to clear undergrowth.

Are you using the Weber briquete or standard charcoal?
The briquets do give a nice long burn but are bit expensive for normal cooking.
I did a lamb shoulder end of the BBQ season last year with a metal tray under it with a bit of water. It was lovely but scary the amount of fat that came of. That was also a nice surprise the next time I opened the BBQ :-(

Yes, but I ended up carrying on buying gxp bottom brackets every 6 months on one bike and on the other changing the chainset.

I’ve fitted some 32mm continental top contacts to a stans arch. On the the basis that it’s a 19mm rim I thought it would be fine but it was a tyre lever job to get the last bit of bead onto the rim.
There been a few threads about people having trouble getting cross tyres (700c) onto 29r rims. Some combos work better than others but that’s the same for any rim and tyre.

I’ve got a park tools one that I got intending to torque everything to the right settings but I’ve never actually used it. Drop as a line if you are interested.
I’ve used the Ritchie one that’s fixed at 5nm for stem bolts. They are a bit of a bargin.

On the GT the clamp wasn’t properly perpendicular to the headtube but because the headtube flared out for the integrated bearings it was secure.

I’ve found a pic of the same frame I had before. My problem was the gusset and the angle

    riddoch

The front clamp has a plastic insert the has a top ridge that you can wedge under a expansion of the top tube. I got it to work on a GT avalanche that had very minimal metal from the top tube to the headset. I think the instructions give a minimum. If its any use I can take a couple of picture of it on my current frame.

Just watch on the caliper you go for has the same hose fitting. The m615 screws straight in which is fine for older brakes but don’t the newer higher level ones have banjo fittings.
Not an issue if you are harvesting the pistons.

Coop were good for me, standard 1k limit and reasonable quote for one beyond that. New for old policy too.
