I think there is certain combinations that you can’t swap end caps on, I sold on my 240 QR wheel as I couldn’t get  thru axle caps. I think if it had or hadn’t been 6 bolt it made a difference.

I may have some end caps kicking around in my spares box (I know have have some but they may be hope rather than DT swiss and they might not even be QR).

I also have the HP subscription but am looking at changing to either a laser or a inktank printer.

To be fair to HP this has been the least troublesome printer I have owned, it occasionally needs a restart but generally printing form PC, android phone or iPad just works. I have just received my first colour cartridges since the first ones when I bought the printer. If you do print more than your monthly sub it just charges you extra, something to be aware of.  I have had it since March 22 and had free trial for 6 months then was paying for 10 prints a month till the start of this year when I moved up to the 50 page plan. So if you are low user the subscription is possible worth it.

pocketcasts for me too, also works with Amazon Echo and Sonos as well. Works fairly well as you listen on different devices keeping on sync.

You could go completely tech and buy an Apple Vision pro https://youtu.be/I5puKFpjv4U?si=HYA9VQ4C0wHcQp4N

I’d be concerned as it’s Kickstarter you’d never get anything at the end. There are swimming goggles that have head up display so the basic technologies all sound feasible.

I had the same thing this year too, renewal I think was actually cheaper than the previous deal by a tiny amount.

Virgin is my only high speed option till cityfibre get their finger out so happily accepted it

I have literally just designed and 3D printed a platform to support my alpkit bag. I have not ridden with it yet to see it solves the problem. It uses the head tube to stop it rotating and has a slot for the strap to fit through

If you are wearing the apple watch can you get it to transmit the HR. My Garmin can and a quick search suggest you might need an app called heartcast.

Any heart rate strap should work, I got one from lidl or aldi that I think worked with my edge. I still have a boxed one, I think, if you want it.

I have gone down a rathole of power tool YouTube recently and I’ve noticed one of the presenters who does a lot of woodworking always has his apple earpods in when running tools.

You could also consider the German engineered version of the bottle dynamo https://www.velogical-engineering.com/dynamo/product-information/?lang=en

It generates enough power for my supernova E3 and rear light.

The order I placed on Friday never had any shipping emails from wiggle just the Evri one when it was out for delivery. I don’t think the site changed to shipped till about the same time as it was delivered.

The cycle to work scheme is irrelevant to a certain extent.

Just request a refund, you have given them a chance to repair and if it’s the same thing every time that only has to be once.

So who is actually buying any of this stuff in the first place, which I guess is part of the problem, too many brands, too many lines

    @dirtyrider
The particular problem with Ronhill is its old school running kit brand from the days before park run, old school runners are still wearing the finishers t-shirt from the 2004 London Marathon and will only buy a replacement when something is worn out rather than being this years colour.

Remember the wera colour coding is a plastic sleeve that can be removed (not sure if that’s a one time operation). I think you can get ones without.

Another cycling site tech editor raves about the PB Swiss 212.LH RB (Long Handle Rainbow). If you think wera are expensive these are at least double.

The only catch I’ve found is which thing is paid off if you have multiple purchase isn’t as transparent as it could be. I had bought something that was being paid monthly on some sort of deal over a year and then a second thing on the pay within 4 months its interest fee. The payments I made to clear the second thing before the it was due interest were located to the first thing reducing its term.

My HP instant ink printer has been the most reliable printer I’ve ever had.

I used the cannon I had before so infrequently the cartridges were always needing to be replaced so for £3 a month it’s seems worth it.

They also do a paper subscription option but I’ve not finished the ream of paper I already had.

How are you getting stock numbers? I have noticed that on the app or website?

    Were those the RD40s?
TRP Slate Evo brakes just randomly got discounted to £20.99 but have immediately gone out of stock. So the theory that when stock is low things get the 80% discount might hold water.

I had a couple of hope wheels cancelled yesterday as well, does mean I’m getting free shipping of the socks that were also on the order.

for battery life and price probably the chilli cam again.

A bit more bling is the Garmin Varia RCT715, gets you radar and rear light as well.

Third option is a 360 camera on your helmet, not used others but the Gopro max is a bit limited battery life wise, maybe 75minutes.

I’ve not tried them yet but a podcast I listen too recommends these for winter riding KAYGO Waterproof Thermal Work Gloves, Full Hand Latex Coated, Insulated Liner for Freezer Cold Weather Fishing Winter Outdoor Work, KG140 (Black Blue, Small) https://amzn.eu/d/96XJVzc

I personally spent 5 times as much on castelli perfecto RoS which I’m quite happy with. Had to size up from normal gloves sizing. https://www.merlincycles.com/castelli-perfetto-ros-cycling-gloves-aw23-156043.html

17th march Chelsea are playing arsenal at Stanford bridge in the wsl. Tickets start at £12 or you could push the boat out for VIP experience.

It should be a great atmosphere, two teams fighting for league victory.

We’ve done the  emirates stadium and Tottenham’s for WSL and they are good day out

Not a direct response but I’ve notice a couple of building sites around me used these “Daleks”.

    PID 360

Most of the (cheaper) systems I’m aware of need  WiFi, that should work with a 5G dongle but that would need to be weatherproofed in some way depending what he has on site

What about Lomo? They have a variety of bags and sizes, they some that have similar attachment points to the aeroe ones.

    20L Motorbike Dry Bag

I use a couple with my burley travoy rather than burleys onwn bags.

Their 12l double ended bag is £8 https://www.lomo.co.uk/products/12l-double-ended-dry-bag/

If you have a nearby TK maxx they often have camelback stuff, got my last podium that way for I think £6.

The chill is alright, think insulated supermarket bag level tech but I’ve not missed it this year with using the standard podium.

There was limitations with the see.sense (this is from a few years ago so may be fixed) but the edge could only control one light at a time. The cyclic fly 12 light  also could be controlled from the edge, similarly to above I think it may be on or off not the flash patterns.

It does work well with the varia though.

And they are a bit fragile, or at least dont last as long as I’d expect. I’ve got through three sets, the first couple lasted about 12-18 months before they died on one side. The most recent (the pro model)  the on/off switch stopped working but they did last a bit longer.

Shorter cranks goes back years but people seem to be be more aware of it recently. I remember readong an article about  Mike Burrows being  a big advocate of them and used drill and tap additional holes on his cranks to get shorter than was available.

Apparently he rode 130mm cranks, I thought I was experimental dropping to 172.5mm

Ok the 1901 version has sugar but it’s caffeine free. Tend to only have the Xtra version as have always disliked the diet.

Turns out panoramic sunroofs are also covered under windscreen cover. A workmate managed to crash his model plane onto a car, turned out cheaper than he was expecting.

I got excited when I saw this post then remembered that when I tidied the shed I found 3 torque drivers and I’ve just remembered there’s a fourth in the tool box.

As an app app there was more available, the built in sky glass app was limited on catch up stuff, or at least the app had a better interface.

On the other hand being a Sky subscriber discovery+ is included for free. There was a point when sports on the app wasn’t included but that changed earlier this year.

In the my account area which of your email addresses is shown? If it’s the old one change it. The actual exposure code isn’t tied to your account but I’ll not post it in the open forum.

Seems to be a case of build it then seek forgiveness, actually do you need planning if nothing is visible?

One of his earlier tunnel videos had one of his neighbours in It and didn’t seem to be the least bit bothered. Pretty sure he had to get planning permission so should be easy to see if there was any objections.
