“Yes. I can go faster with it”

True, unless you learn how to use your knees and elbows to act as suspention then you can keep up with the full sussers then leave them on the hills……

Those who got into MTB’ing in the old days will most probably appreciate that is has its uses but is not “needed” If you can ride a rigid/HT properly you dont need it.

Those who have not probably have very little experience of riding without suspension so would have problems without it.

If you want to just sit and pedal though everything with getting up off your arse then you probably do need it. IMO

I’m doing the doule this weekend, the forecast is looking OK(ish) for the weekend. There may be showers but it should be OK unless we get something really heavy.

You normally pay a settlement at the end of the agreement, then its yours, I paid £57 for my Rocklobster 853.

Still paying off my Tricross SS.

I sold my car, thats sorts it. I do all my site visits on the bike and do about 30/35 miles a day now without even noticing it. But it is very hard those first few weeks (I started in Jan which was very hard)
Recently has been just heaven, rolling home in the sun without a care in the world, knowing all my workmates are still trying to get out the car park.
But as others have said, you just have to make yourself. I get up at 6 now, used to get up at 7.30.

My commute is 15 miles of towpath, without music I think I would fall asleep.
It is nice to turn it off somedays and enjoy some silence but there is nothing better than really hammering along with some suitable paced music….
Mine sits in my shorts pocket with no problems, then up underneath my jersey so no cables are hanging around.

I grew up in Reading and live about 9 miles away in the sticks. Nicer place to live than High Wycombe, more variety and more to do. The actual town itself is just like most modern towns, all the same shops and grid locked most evenings. Personally I hate most town centres, hate shopping and town centre pubs so dont really go there anymore.

Head West and you have some really nice countryside very close by, outside my door there is plenty of singletrack if you know where to look.
There are several suberbs which are very nice indeed.

Traffic wise its all OK most days but any problems on the M4, M25 or A34 and it always seems to end up grid locked. I work in Newbury and have often spent 2 hours to get home which should take 20 mins (I now commute along the Kennet and Avon so no more delays for me !)

I dont mind them being on the roads as I understand they were here first and living in a rural area I see how they are intergral to the culture etc.
But I do not like seeing horses which only just seem to be under control, If the horse is easily spooked or does not like cars/bikes/dogs/people etc etc then it should not be taken out on public roads, end of.

    Jack,

What bars are they ? I have been looking for something like those as the drops that came with it are far too small for my hands.

I have always worked on the basis that if you borrow something and its damaged you replace it like for like….. Sorry but thats what I would expect. The fact that it was caused by someone else is not really your mates problem.
I know thats not much help but I can understand why he is pissed as he lent you something he wont get back.

As it is now its right on the corner, facing straight ahead, just mounted on the side wall. So it should not have line of sight issues and its going to be the same, just on the other side (does that make sense ?)

Its on the left hand side of the house, near the front wall facing forwards, I want to move it to the right hand side in the same was, on the end facing forwards, So will have to turn the disk round but should be able to keep the angle the same. I am getting BT vision very soon anyway so will bin it once thats in….

Cool, I thought it should not be too hard, I can easily sus where it points now, its going to be at the same height so should be OK.

I dont support you know if the wire thats used is usual coax ? ie something I can get locally ? As it might need extending.

Make sure your boss knows they are going to do the full scan… I would imagine that the IT Team would not want it being known that they let a virus cause such problem, and would not be shouting about it if they found one, they might just clean it and make like everything is OK..
