I was a little amused and felt sorry for his dog, bouncing into the roof of his car as he fly over the speed bumps….

The cycle path/lane in question is just a normal path, but with blue round signs showing a cycle every few hundred yards. No markings on the road at all on this stretch, further up its a really wide path with good markings and I use it.
For those who might know its from Thatcham Station going up towards Lower Way…

Because its near a school and full (and I mean full) of kids so its almost impossible to ride at any reasonable speed.
Its on a road which has a 20mph limit with speed humps etc so I leave most cars behind.

I must have slowed him for about 10 seconds…..

Agree with cookeaa, the national cycle routes are great, I commute from outside Reading (Aldermaston) to Newbury and its a great ride and very welcome indeed. Its that or the A4 which is just too mental in the rush hour.

At the moment a section is closed for lock repairs so I ride through Thatcham to Newbury. The dedicated cycle lanes are a nightmare, full of dog mess, glass, kids and you have to stop at pretty much every junction.

So for that section I brave the A4 and have really started to enjoy moving through the traffic, but drivers get annoyed at me for not using the cycle lanes and shout and beep….(as I overtake them)

Its certainly a very good contender. Always on my mp3 player.

I fitted a crud catcher on mine the other day and find it totally useless… Hopefully a full moto-x type will be better.

They are not providing anything, Just saying that we must make sure we have everything we need. So staff are buying PC's, chairs and broadband connections. Or you can opt out of the whole scheme and never be allowed to work from home again, basically washing their hands of it all.

I have had many and often go for one when my left shoulder seizes up (I have Impingement syndrome on the shoulder cuff, both sides)
I dont get any pain from them and in fact they work a treat for me.
The right one has been sorted with an op but the left still causes hassle.

Worth a try though, I cant get to the lights to find anything out, they are very high up and not reachable without a huge ladder…..God knows how i will replace the bulbs when they go, get the climbing gear out I think…

I do 15 miles each way, each and everyday having sold my car. 90% offroad.

I do have a few site visits most weeks but they are getting used to me turning up in spd's and muddy gear…….
