Lots (ish) of rain today, but it’ll be just usual autumn/winter conditions.

The Insta post has been deleted. I saw it this morning and thought it was just them all mucking about, wasn’t sure to take it seriously. No doubt we’ll find out in the coming weeks.

Cute runner – shone brightly and wound lots up for a short time.

The bloke that tried to get a mouse out of his sofa. He had another thread that was equally funny, but can’t remember it too well now.

Think I first logged in around 2005? Maybe earlier actually as I did some races with Houns and ChunkyMTB and Luke and jojo, etc in 2007.

Thanks for the support, plenty of phone calls, our buyers solicitor apparently only works three days a week and appears to take buffoonery to new levels.

Ha! He’s not from a firm in Hereford is he?

We should be exchanging today. Sold and went proceedable around end of June/start of July. The solicitor above us did nothing for the first 6 weeks! It’s very painful, but seems like we’re nearly there. I feel your angst.

Yes. I sent an e-mail to the mods earlier today, but haven’t heard back (not that I was expecting too as long as it gets fixed).

Without wishing to sound like a cock, define “playful”…

Exactly. To me fun is going fast and carving long turns, stuff that a 29er excels at in general. Steep, slow, tight, thrutchy tech? No thanks.

Ramsey Neil – New Orange P7 is available as 29 too.

Orbea Loki is a 27+ but can take 29.

Never rubbed mine. I like my feet straight, but never too close that I rub the cranks with my ankle. Size 9 FiveTens.

Unless you’re at a trail centre does anyone ride a loop? My rides are different every time, so no point setting up a full ride as a segment.

I don’t believe there’s any difference, although only the 2 from 2016 is showing now. Depends if you want/need an EBB as to whether the 3+ is worth it. If you don’t then go with the nice blue 2.

I’m hovering over the 2017 version of the 4 to build up…

Money Talks, Bullshit Walks: Seven Trail Bikes around € 3,000 in Review

Spectral in this group test. Current models.

YT Jeffsy 27.5 wins both best in test and best value. But up against Spectral 6 not 7, so you need to ge judge of difference.

I got one of these for £16.99.

All a tight squeeze, but it fits a 29er tube, multi tool, co2 canister and attachment. Tyre levers sit on top of the bag under the mount. Sits back on the rails, so doesn’t touch my Reverb at all. Works great on the hard tail, but does get buzzed at full travel on my suspension bike with the dropper down.

Sorry I mean it needs to fit a 140mm shock

Don’t frames generally come with a rear shock if new or 2nd hand?

What they said, plus, just checking, but you realise 140mm refers to the rear wheel travel, not the shock? Various length and stroke shocks can all be made to give 140mm at the rear wheel.

Yes, that sounds good. Last December I supplied hubs and 24 inch rims and was charged £120 for the pair to be built up.

My mum lives in some retirement flats. In the car park there’s an Audi R8 with Polish number plates. Polish couple that live in the flats (no idea why) are pukka porn stars. They have a chihuahua.

I’ve yet to bump into her…

Thanks chaps. Hermes seem to have it as prohibited, but didn’t think of CollectPlus who seem to be OK with it.

I thought Parcel Force were the ones that binned that blokes Fox shock (big, long thread a couple of years ago)?

Anyway, ended up with UK Mail/ipostparcels for £12 fully insured.

    High Roller II rear

May cause OCD to go into overdrive due to different brand logos on tyres. Otherwise a very good year round combo for FoD where I ride.

2017 Marin Nail Trail 7 at Rutland Cycling. Was £1,600 and now £999 and very well specced. Choice of 29 or 27.5 depending on size availability.

Edit – that’s if you want a hardtail again, but you don’t say a preference.

I bought a pair of Adidas recently and they’re great. Easier to get on than my old Freeriders, dry much quicker, great little lace bungie and super-enduro colourway(!) too. Bonus being that as Adidas own 5.10, you still get the Stealth rubber sole.

    Nice shoes, would recommend.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I don’t think it looks that nice…the top tube/seat tube join looks a bit, well rubbish IMHO.

Indeed. If they’d made the top tube more like the new Stereo in that German link up there, it’d be so much nicer and contemporary. No need for a high top tube with gert big drops on dropper posts these days.

Orbea Loki. Comes with plus wheels but fits 29 too for the muddy winter months when you don’t fancy mud surfing on the plus tyres. In fact quite a few do that, but I’m not convinced by plus.

Photo is odd though. It’s out in the hills (not in a dodgy looking back yard with a mini MX bike in the background) and there’s a foot in shot with a proper biking shoe.

So did they happen to nick the photo as well as the bike? Or just the photo to scam some moron thinking it’s normal to pay £200 for one of those?
