Mountain ash downhill is in the woods on the right hand side of the a4059 (coming from Cardiff). Look for the forest sign with the small parking area. The fire road will take you all the way up the mountain and you can cut across to bpw (bit difficult to describe exactly where you cut across) It’s a bit of a slog across the open fields at the top though and it’s a fair climb up the fire road.

Try and focus on one or two people in the group initially? Talk to them and once you get more comfortable and less anxious make eye contact with the others in the group and turn your focus to other people so everyone feels included.

Is there loads of loctite on the rebound bolts that may require a bit more effort to get in? I think the threads are the same on both rebound and Spring legs so could be that?

Try taking it to a garage and ask for them to try an impact wrench on it.

stick with normal hoses – braided are a pig to work with.

Did you push he token all the way up to the top of the shaft? The travel adjust works by way of the two small holes in the bottom of the shaft and if blocked it may not work – maybe?

edit check the holes are clear

You can grind them down. As said the interchangeable heads wobble. removing the cir clips is the trickiest part – anything to make it easier will make servicing the fork a lot easier job

It’s worth paying a bit more and getting a good set. The less than £10 screw fix ones I’ve got added about 25 minutes to service time – after grounding down the ends to fit in the holes of the smaller circlips.

Royvon kennels in Merthyr may take the dog for a day Sam. Alternatively my daughter would dogsit if she’s around on the date. Pm me if you want to have a chat about it.

Built up my remedy from an aluminium frame (2017) with lyrics about 3 months ago. I really like it. The 19.5 is a perfect fit for me at 5’10.5. Not too long or short. Suspension is very active – only lock it out for road/ fireroad though. Climbs really good no wheel lift or struggle to hold a line (with 2cm risers and 2cm spacers under stem) Great descending active suspension gives loads of grip. No creaks or noise so far. Use the mino link in low setting if uplifting – find the Bb a bit low for regular trails so usually keep in high. Get a few pedal strikes as the Bb is relatively low even in high – nothing to be concerned about though and affords good stability descending. Nicely balanced bike with no annoying quirks. Feels rock solid with decent weight. First trek and think the abp is great. Had pivot Mach 6, Capra, 5010 previously and prefer the remedy (all good bikes but the remedy has the best balance for me in terms of fit, travel and suspension).

I had a large. I’m 5’10 and it didn’t feel roomy. I’d say an xl would be the one for someone 6’2

They did it in NHS Wales when I was working in labs. Significant number of staff were downgraded with piss poor pay scale protection (approx 12 months). Had a very negative impact on moral. Not good. Feel free to PM if you want more info.

There’s a smallish (3-4ft) set of table/doubles in the middle of the van road trails. 3 then a berm and another 3 all rollable / pumpable – perfect for building up confidence before looking at the big jumps and saying “Nah”.

Stayed near Bude a few weeks ago – met up with a good bunch from Southfork bikes for their Wednesday night MTB ride. Good trails round there you just need the local input.

Do they need forks with less offset to get the benefit of the “sbg”? So if you go frame only new forks are needed if your existing ones are standard offset?

Adidas terrex are noticeably stiffer than 5-10 freeriders and the old impacts. The grip is on a par with them.

Sounding like a stuck record but get a trance, put a 160mm fork on the front and swap the 200×51 shock (140mm tavel) and replaced with a 200×57 one giving 156mm of rear travel…..there’s your 160mm bike without it seeing like a lifeless sled.
    It’s what I’ve done and it’s brill.

Interesting – any issues with tyre hitting the frame etc at full travel

The transfer port is in the air spring side. Take the lowers off and remove the air piston. You’ll feel a little bump inside the stanchion about 20mm from the bottom on the inner centre part. Spray with IPA and clean and don’t overly grease the air spring piston seal head.
