If you ride the same corner, really hard in the opposite direction, you can get it
    back in shape ;-)

Carbon has a slacker seat tube than the alu model. If you’re tall and have loads of seatpost showing you may find you’re too far over the rear wheel on climbs? I’ve got the alu – 5.11 on a large and it climbs fine, no complaints. Not heard a peep from the bb in 5 months. Had a few Bikes with pf and not any issues with them. It’s not a super long monster truck of a bike that is only suited to winch and plummet. Does every type of riding, sedate to full on, brilliantly imo.
The only niggle is around seatpost insertion. I had to limit the travel on my dropper to get the fit I wanted.

It’s not really a scam – if you know what you want for the bike ask him to pay it via PayPal. Once you have the money in PayPal end the auction on eBay. No more chance of being scammed than selling through PayPal at any time. Make sure he’s genuine first and you could potentially save paying eBay fees of 10%. He’ll avoid paying the overinflated price sellers put on eBay to account for the 10%.

    This works for me:

    Pedros levers
Tesa tape off eBay (get the right width for you rim)
    Isopropyl alcohol
    Wet and Dry paper

Clean the rims with IPA and lightly rub with IPA wetted wet & dry
2 wraps of Tesa tape on the clean rims (pulling taut)
    Fit valves
Bit of soapy water on the tyre bead
Double check tyre logos aligned to valves (this is critical ;-)
Pump up the tyre till the bead pops onto the rim (check all the way around rim)
Deflate – add Stan’s sealant – reinflate and swoosh sealant around

Worked for me on multiple rims & tyres – always used Maxxis DHR or high roller or Spesh Butcher or purgatory (tubeless ready always)

For ease of use though the Stans rim strips are hard to beat and save the tape faff

I went from a remedy to slash 8. You can get some good deals on 2019 models if you look around. Loved the remedy and wanted the same fit, ride and feel with bigger wheels and the slash has been perfect. You can also “mullet” the slash in the high setting – like two bikes in one!

If you want longer travel but something that isn’t a barge the trek slash is ideal. Lots of deals around in the 2019 alloy version at the minute (which has a steeper seat tube than the carbon). Stick it in the high setting and you can use a 27.5 rear wheel. The mullet set up works for me especially on more Dh focused stuff and I can change to 29er when suits. 2 bikes in one really.

I bought a pair for £140 new off eBay. Perfectly fine for My budget hardtail build.
Rebound works / lockout works. Comes with bolt on mudguard. Only ridden twice but a comfortable, controlled feel. Spring rate ok for me at 13.5 stone.

    Dadpool

Father takes kids to the local swimming baths.

Laughs a plenty as they attempt to wash, dry and brush their daughters hair.

Intense drama at the vending machine as kids are told they can’t have any sweets from it.

I don’t bother with the squeegee. Get some lint free tissue and run it over the wrap to get rid of bubbles. Then soak up the excess at the edges to get it to stick down. Do it somewhere warm and with lots of light. Clean frame meticulously first.

Zip tie the Mino link bolts – as dez said they don’t need to be super tight but can work loose and are pricey to replace.

I’m 5’11 and rode 19.5 which, for me, was best fit. Wouldn’t want smaller in the reach (used a 50mm stem). 32” leg had a bikeyoke dropper 160mm with about 2 cm of post showing at full extension. Lovely bike though with a more down than up bias. Used to flip the Mino link settings quite frequently. Front end can wander a bit on tech climbs with the trade off for stable coming down. Rear suspension was faultless. Just sold it and bought a slash instead. Fancied a change to 29er. If I was going back to 27.5 I would buY a Remedy again.

Just finished mine. Used Leyland heavy duty slate. Goes on easily and Nice colour. Dried to walk on in 24 hours. I put two coats on and seems plenty tough enough. As said though make sure you prep the floor first.

Trek remedy 18 27.5 here. My first trek after loads of other brands and have not found any compromises with it. Downhill, up hill, across, it’s great at all of it. Knock block is not an issue for me. Fit, geometry suspension is all spot on.
