You see loads of kids on e-bikes at bpw – a lot clearly under 14. If the rule is there it’s not being policed.

Had mine out last year (also 51). Up and about sorting the garage / waking within a couple of days and eased back into riding after 4 weeks. Got a gp note off work for 4 weeks.

Trek slash is a dog of a job to service the seat post. May be just my frame but the cable outer catches on a burr or something on the frame which means the bottom bracket has to come out. Leave in place till it dies. Then swap.

Was easy last Friday – flight got in 1.30pm and we were in the rental car 45 minutes later. The rental area was pretty quiet.

I feel your pain – literally. Had tooth out last Wednesday. First two days were ok but the pain got worse over the weekend. I went back to the dentist yesterday who said I had dry socket. It’s now 2am and I’m taking my second co-codamol which help me get some sleep. Miserable experience.

I’ve had a COROS pace for a few weeks now. Looks and feels like a regular watch. Tracks all activities, holds charge well. Simple to use

Timely thread – I’ve stripped my 370 hub and found the axle had snapped. New axle and bearings are ordered. I’m struggling to find any “DT special grease” in stock anywhere. Any recommendations for an alternative?

Did anyone use any gears apart from green (easy) on the grifter? I could just about use yellow on the flat. We would ram a spoke in the hub and somehow lock the grifter in green.

You can take a specialized to any dealer for warranty claims. Find a decent shop near to you and leave it with them.

I saw what I thought was a flare above Caerphilly last night – was around the same time. Could have been it?

I’m in the last game – whoever I’m playing has gone on vacation as nothing has happened for a week. Is there a time limit on the tournament?

I’ve been using the Amazon one linked for a few weeks. Perhaps it’s my arris but I can’t get comfy on it. Shape means the lumps are all in the wrong place. Also you can’t really sit on it you just lean on it. Having said that my back feels better from not sitting down all day. I bought it to see if I’d prefer stool vs chair which I do so will spend a bit more and get something a bit more suited to me

Spesh e-bikes can be taken to any dealer to sort out problems. Doesn’t have to be the one you bought it from. Having said that leisure lakes told me that they wouldn’t take a warranty claim for bike bought abroad. Give a spesh dealer a ring is best

Leatt shoes had the furthest rearward clear position I could find. I had a pair on sale somewhere. Could still do with a bit more rearward range but pretty good.

Thanks for the feedback – I can’t get the gen3 rear shock how I want it and think that new linkage even with a mediocre bigger shock will be an improvement. The small shock seems to be choked up with too high pressure to stop bottom out. Don’t really want to spend on a top end smaller shock if the linkage can sort it. Shame the linkage is sold out on uk site.

@sofaboy how do you find the Levo link? Is it on a gen3?

I did the same with brand new mm and bontrager rim. Tyre blew off at about 40psi trying to get it to seat. The tyre has been in the garage ever since and refuses to work with any rim – just can’t bring myself to bin a brand new tyre. I bought the tyre off wiggle – sent them pics and said what happened and they refunded.

Slade’s Cum on Feel the Noise was number one, T-Rex were number two. Focus with Sylvia, Strawbs Part of the Union, Thin Lizzy Whiskey in the Jar, Duelling Banjos, Roll over Bethoven, Superstition… were in the charts and you were listening to that dirge,

Thanks for the info. It was “Name The Year” on the final ever Pop Master today – good timing.

We’ve had one for about 4 months. Use it downstairs in office and sometimes in living room in evening. £2ish bottle lasts 3-4 hours depending on how open you have the burner. Warms up the room well – but the heat dissipates quite quickly once it’s burned out. Cools down quickly so after about 30mins can be refilled. Re issues refilling you have to open the door and remove metal box into which you squirt the fluid – not much chance of refilling when it’s in situ in the burner and still hot.
