I can heartily recommend this one, very good value for money, quite low key and very friendly. Food at the start and finish, everything in-between is whatever you can catch – kill cook or buy. I highly recommend a pint or two in the Horseshoe Inn at Levisham before pushing on into the night shift.
Just think Rosedale chimney bank under the moonlight 🌙
Just don’t get drawn into the combined YD300 & NYM300 that way lies madness 🙂

I’ve had an email worded as below, so hoping I got in early and they don’t run out.

    “Hi there

    Thank you for your order

We have received loads of orders for these kits the last few days so we’re working through them now. We will be getting them out as first come first served so if we run out we will let you know but we do have more coming in anyway

    Many thanks
    Rob”

I’m busy gathering willing marshalling volunteers for the 1st round of the Yorkshire league on the 11th September and then straight after off to the outer Hebrides for a fortnights walking and a bit of running so dread to think what my 1st race performance will be like!
Had a quick look at the parkland that we use at the weekend and my best advice is not to bin it as the ground is like concrete here in East Yorks and very little rain forecast!

Yep did the 80k and was suffering cramps by 3/4 of the way round the second lap. Rode the “root” on the 1st lap when it was dry, didn’t even attempt it on the second lap when it was wet n polished!
    Feeling somewhat 2nd hand today!

If you’re happy to travel head east and look at north – south traverses of the North York Moors long steady climbs not much traffic.

What sort of distance are you looking for? What’s your Strava name I can invite you to look at them direct from there.

Road riding is glorious, choice of the moors or the Wolds.

Stacks of natural off road stuff on the moors as well.

    Take both bikes 🙂

I’d hope it’d have an effect and quite a long lasting one as well.

There’s a couple more left in Yorkshire Ilkley and the last of the league races at Barnsley which was a supermodder last year.

Also Novacross on 1st Jan at Knaresborough if you are hangover free.

Cheers for the offer heavy rat, but having had a demo ride on the KTM I’m loving the lightness of it.

    Cheers Gary,
yeah I own several 🙂 my old 26″ Rockhopper and full suss will have to go to make room. I’ve road bikes and cross bike as well.
Racing wise I’ve been cross racing the past 4 years and finally got a cat 3 road licence but getting a bit long in the tooth for the road racing as I get my arse kicked by the youngsters so some sort of age related XC racing sounds interesting.
