Lee Quarry is quite an amazing place with huge cliffs which were the main focus!

Yes I know I shot the pictures for the race series publicity shots, and a magazine. Only trying to be helpful. :)

Liking the B+W shot and maybe the last with a tighter crop.

The rest I’m struggling to see the riders, great landscape photos, with distractions.

He’s offered to deliver to you. So you can check it is exactly as described before handing over the readies. What’s your problem?

You think someone who’s details are filed with ebay is going to whack you for a K ?

I’ve taken pictures at 3 fell races this weekend.

Nick Craig ran two of them finishing a creditable 2nd and 3rd overall. Not bad for a 40 year old mountain biker ;)

    3 of my favorite pics.

My advice like Sim’s, is don’t get a fisheye for portraits unless you want the distorted look.

Even s/h the fish eye lenses are £200+

    I’ve had a G9 and the Ricoh GX200

Both good cameras. The lens cap was an annoyance on the ricoh though.

As others have said high ISO = noise.

I’ve bought loads of bits over the years and never had any problems.

The number of scammers I can recall on STW is in single figures. A very small percentage of the number who sell stuff on here.

    I had one, the composer.

They’re good if you’ve got plenty of time to compose a shot, not so good if you need to switch aperture quickly, plus focusing especially when you have the lens of axis is tricky without a focusing screen.

Having said that some people do some great work with theirs.

Don’t know owt about that model, but I’ve had 3 Fuji compacts in the past, and they were great.

I’ve not heard anything specific about that end of New Mills.

There’s stuff around these parts that has been on the market for years.

Seems to be a good time to buy at the right price imo.

Presuming you have the hi-def original file, irrespective of exif you should be able to prove that yours was the original.

A 100% magnification would show that?

……and yes it could be fabricated, but reasonable doubt and all that.

    Very Sad.

You’d not get me riding a bike on the A1 ever. 80+ mph traffic and bikes does not mix.

Did you have a sore head this morning?

Ann was in a bad way. Had to have two vomit stops on the way home. :)

And I bet no-one else had Nick Craig wanting to try their bike after the race

He wanted a ride on mine, then kindly took it home for me, and best of all when I popped round for it earlier, he’d washed it. What a star.

On a bright sunny day they are useful for removing or lightening the shadows from faces. Both these were using a speedlite on camera.

I think the forum is better than before, plus it’s good to see that useful bits are being added all the time.

Can’t quote others easilly in a thread

    Your joking aren’t you?

    No email notification

    Use the RSS feed.

No pic upload facility or STW forum pic storage

Why should STW have to pay to host your pics? Use flickr, photobucket etc etc.

Sounds like you’d do better being rid of him.

Unless it was specified in your contract with him, that the business would pay his interest on the card debt, I wouldn’t have thought he had a leg to stand on.

Go and see a solicitor though to see exactly where you stand.

Composition is an artifact of the media used. In the real world there is just stuff and you looking at it

…and to an extent what you, or another viewer are expecting to see.

But fiddling with exposure is a bit like adjusting the spark advance on a vintage car…

No, fiddling with exposure ensures that your focal point is correctly exposed, rather than exposing for the mean of the whole picture.

I think sfb is looking forward to the fully automated DSLR that as well as the current features choosing exposure, dof, and autofocus. It will also automatically zoom to the optimium compositional focal length, thereby removing any user input.
