Having just read the “save the planet” stuff.

We’ve a friend who at 21 convinced her doctor to give her the snip. She was that way inclined back in the day apparently.

When she’s had a few sherries now, and is with our kids she always cries and rues the day she made that decision.

As for not being able to do stuff. I’ve been a slacker this month with the weather and have still cycled 200K this month and run 60K.

A Peregrine ticks that box, as does the Genesis Day 1 neither are race whippets though.

I think Bianchi do one also, though probably not available over here.

There’s a bit of stuff on talkphotography including satisfied, and not so customers.

Sounds like they pretend to be from the UK?

We never wanted kids. We were out on the razz most nights of the week, and would party all weekend long.

A contraception fail, and both us grew up sharpish.

Two kids now, and no regrets. In fact if not for the kids I think I might not be here. We certainly lost a couple of friends who never stopped partying.

Bottles covered in muck and s**t being bang on trend?

Or buy one with a cover over the valve.

As for food gels etc are fine for the odd hit. Proper food did me fine for a few 12+ hour runs last year though.

    Appreciate how lucky you are

Get a grip eh? Sad as Lewis’s situation is. It has no bearing here.

You don’t need cadence for sufferfest.

Perceived effort is good enough (or use a HRM if you have one).

I built an XS frame with V – Brakes and rigid forks, 27 gears that weighs 8.5 Kg.

That Crieg 26 as nice as it looks is not exactly lightweight.

Its 18 miles each way off road (or a very scary 16 miles on road) which I find a bit much there and back

I know a number of people who ride in, then train or car back.

The next day drive in, and ride back.

Requires a bit of planning for clothes maybe.

I was thinking of going over for Liege Bastogne Liege Sportive, and then race the day after in April.

Dn’t worry, the weather will still be gash.

I looked a while back without much success.

Apparently Marzocchi made a 24″ specific fork the D street. Even if you could find one second hand, I doubt a kid would be able to compress it.

The other option is to find a low travel 26″ (disc) fork with a low axle to crown measurement.

3 bales of hay and one of straw to cart a day.

I have a favourite painting from a non art point view. My Mum sold this, she was a hobbling old bird with a wonky hip.

Paid for my Mum’s hip Op with change. 🙂

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to tell the other two kids my eldest is autistic

I’ve always been really honest with my kids over family deaths.

Sit them down and tell them the truth is all I can offer, though I’ve no experience of autism.

Awful to hear of your loss.

As a parent, I can only imagine your grief.

    Cuddle your wife and kids.

    Take care of yourself.

    these any good?

Looks like they’re similar to the ones he has. Warm, but rubbish when they’re wet.

Tricky with little hands, he has some waterproof mountaineering type gloves though they’re too bulky for gripping the bars.

    Marigolds ftw. 😉

Forget Hayfield, as things are currently.

Heavy snow now, and there was a fair bit up there already.

Sunday things may have changed though…..

    That’s great

You got dowelling in there to support the tiers, or is it all baking skills supporting it?

    DrP

    Thanks.

I put a wooden skewer through just in case. It’s got to travel tomorrow.

The cake tastes nice, but the bake wasn’t the best.

Sad news, I’ve have lost a few friends in climbing accidents over the years, and most of them far too young like those here.

    Awful.
