over 100 quid for a rack!

not sure also, if the swift cn handle touring loads

    Decent racks are ~£100.

Can’t see for a moment why a Swift couldn’t handle touring loads. Unless you’re a heavyweight, and planning on taking a ton of stuff with.

We were originally charged by meter and our bill was significantly more than it is now. 2 adults and two kids.

I’ve broken 2 3/32 chains run single speed with a perfect chainline.

IME they stretch far quicker than track chains.

Whilst I’m always a fan of shaving weight, I’d rather have a heavy chain that doesn’t break.

You file a non payment thing with ebay, and they’ll contact the buyer. iirc 7 days later you get your fees refunded.

Thanks for the tip off. 😉

Mine are 11 and 8 now. With both kids, my wife was back at work within 6 weeks, and I’ve done most of the childcare since, being occasionally self employed.

As others have said, the traditional parent mother & toddler groups can be less than welcoming to blokes, though I persevered for the kids sake.

If you’re happy without social engagement other than your child (and the stw forum of course) then you’ll enjoy it.

I loved bringing them up as babies, in fact my wife jokes she never changed a nappy.

When they get to primary school, if you can still avoid working, then you get to go and ride your bike, after doing your housework first of course. 😉

In summary if you get the chance, do it. Spending time with my kids has been awesome.

My advice is do a different C2C, though I haven’t done all the TPT, I’ve done most of it, there are loads of minging areas it travels through, and broken glass is a trail feature.

Yes if both are for the same number of cogs.

Depends on the rim, your weight, and your bike handling finesse.

If I was in a rush for something I’d specify before handing over my money.

Usually though if something arrives within the week I’m cool with that.

    Yes, to both.

A quick scan and you’re in Shropshire.

Sorry, but COMPLETELY disagree. If you’ve been around for a while, yes people on here ‘know’ you, but it isn’t linked to real world consequences

If I was after you of course. 😉

I think that is the use of anonymous usernames that makes it a bit more like a game than real life.

No different if you’re around for a while. You’ll be found out, maybe not your real name etc, but you’ll have a profile.

Forums. Get incensed by all means if you’re some newb.

Else just see that some people (the majority) are straight up, some think they are being clever with witty one liners, and some are anti the vibe of where they’ve found themselves, their only consolation being that someone replies to them.

Richpips, didn’t the Hayfield get knocked down after a murder??? I used to go the Blues Bar in Chapeltown, that was scary as well

Aye, it is now a football field.

Blues Bar, yes we used to go there too. Generally more friendly I found, well at least I never got threatened by a gang with knives in there.

I use to be a regular at the Hayfield in Leeds, not your classic nightclub, but always dancing Red Stripe and trouble, sadly which in the end, got way out of hand.

I met up with Hora once in a car park with a view to assasinating him, but bought a nearly new frame instead. 😉

Doesnt this just prove there are lots of 30-50 year old men in boring desk jobs pretending to work but actually surfing the web whilst also pretending they ride bikes in their spare time.

I opted for the Dakota 20. It does all the nav stuff you require. Slightly larger though.

Annoyingly there’s only brief moments of really bad shake so it’s applying an extreme level of stabilization that’s not really needed for 9/10ths of the clip.

I’d stabilize the good bits, and keep the other bits as is if they are v short. It’d make a good effect. :Maybe:

Anything over ~£30 and I always send it signed for which they pay for.

I’ve had a number of people “say” stuff didn’t turn up in the past.

    It’s never once happened since.

Maybe a work around is to split the footage into small clips, and apply the stabilization then. You may not lose so much of the picture then.

Depends how pro you want your footage to be.

Youtube has a deshaker thing which seems to do a reasonable job.

A limitation with all image stabilisation is based on how wonky the original footage was though.

Sorry can’t help otherwise I’m a FCP user.

I’ve done a fair bit of photography in the past for our National Cycling body.

Champs level, Women were always the ones that got the most page views by a long stretch from the Men.

Women’s cycling I’d put money into that if I was an advertising type for sure.

I have one that runs off the rim, therefore it doesn’t matter what tyre you have.

You do remember the new STW which was delayed for so long it became a standing joke? I think they might have finally got around to fixing the glitchy bump issue which existed ever since the rebuild after the big hack (and they were told about within days of it appearing). Anyway, don’t you know that the STW forums are so much bigger than anything else comparable which makes it so much harder for them to change or fix anything?

I shan’t be holding my breath for them putting a system in place of any sort (let alone a good one) for anything which doesn’t directly affect the STW bottom line.

You could suggest something clever and constructive.

Another forum that I used to post on regularly has these rules.

60 days membership and 25 posts minimum.

It also has an ebay type feedback system.

Plus a sticky of known scammers.

Put a good system in place and (most of) the scammers will go elsewhere.

My first late 70s was a 5 speed gas pipe special from Makro.

I saved some pennies up and next bought a Woodrup like the one below, and if I recall correctly I part exchanged it for my first mountain bike. 🙂
