It works by making you feel inferior and worthless when you compare your ride to everybody else’s. Including that KOM guy who clearly did the route in a car or on a motorbike.

I’m getting a number of KOM and high placings recently riding my road bike up MTB segments. 😉

Really ? Is it a premium thing ?

    Nope, free.

You can see the stats for this month, this year etc.

I can’t see why data should be reset. Surely being able to compare yourself over the years is good.

grafter eh–keen to show how much you could do–currying favour with bosses–seen you r kind many times–wouldn’t want to be stuck in a life boat with that attitude–

LOL I was paid to do a days work, there’s no favour just an obligation.
Work = Money a fair trade.

You are right though with the life boat though. You’d drown.

    How old are you rudebwoy?

Did you do any union/manual work back then.

My experience as a grafter was they were full scale lazy wasters.

“Eh lad slow down, we’ve got all day to do that” – From the chargehand, not even from the proper lazy ****.

Ooh you are going to bitch about him on the internet when he’s dead?

I’ve done my best to avoid all this stuff the last few days.

But I will say all this post death hate is pussy.

If it upset you so much all these years, you’d have done something about it when she was alive.

Rather than going out and shooting random bits and pieces and trying to make a silk purse, come up with a plan before you shoot anything.

Where do you local boys usually ride then?

That was one of my issues with Liverpool. There is one BW marked on the entire 1:50K OS map.

There is the TPT (covered in glass). The only bit of pleasant riding I recall was along the promenade up to Otterspool.

I’ve got a few but there are plenty of quicker riders around.

As someone says if you can get in the top 10% on the popular big climbs I reckon you’re doing OK.

Presuming you are talking about cycling, the emphasis seems these days to concentrate on bike handling skills and technique for kids.

Latest weather forecast via the bbc is for Rain and a Temperature of 3 degrees.

I am tempted to postpone for another day.

    What do you all reckon?

If you are serious about racing cross a CX bike.

As a compromise for CX and MTB then the 29er is the solution.

    richpips…

So, are we all riding just the Tissington out – Tissington back route…?
(ie: Anyone looping via the High Peak ?)

Just wondering if I might (at this ridiculously late stage) suggest riding out from, & back to Tissington, as the finish would be pretty much a gentle 10 miles downhill.
    (5 & 7yr old tired legs…)

(Also, from what I remember Tissington is just an ice-cream / tea & coffee hatch).

Feel free to tell me to guff awf.

Let’s see who turns up on the day I reckon.

If there are just a few of us we’ll default to the rider of least ability.

I’m hoping there’ll be enough folk for an easy and not quite so easy group.

Oh and Mothers are welcome hence the post title. 🙂

It was an ok turn-out last year, but it feels to me like it is dead.

Back in the Peak District again. How exciting.

Yep, tag along or trailers no problem. It’s a smooth and wide trail with no tech stuff.

    My Dad was always difficult.

In his later years we thought he’d got alzheimers. Turned out at the autopsy he’d had numerous mini strokes.

    A long days drive.

My wife drives from Hayfield to New Mills (free parking) and gets the train into Manchester. £90 a month iirc.

You’d get more for your money in Whaley Bridge though.

We have one of my Grandfather’s WW1 medals which was smashed up in a WW2 bombing in London along with my Aunties house. There should have been three medals only the one was recovered. Irony.

10 + 7, they walk together a mile to school.

We will happily leave them home together for an hour or so during the day. They are good together.

From the age of 7 I got a bus into Leeds, then walked a bit through the town centre, before a second bus to school on my own. From the age of 10 I cycled there instead of the bus. 8 miles each way iirc. Kids today eh?

I think Tesco might like to know their account has been hacked

    Already reported.

If the scammer had put a bit more effort in, it would have been much harder to spot. The rest of the listings (other than the fancy bikes) appear to be real.

Scam for sure. Avoid, or outbid me. 🙂
