Well having a brief look at the results, one name I recognise from last years 3 peaks 3:50 this year at TdB 3:40 which would suggest both times would be quite close.

On an MTB you could watch the leaders going up Whernside, then take the BW that traverses under the hill to Ribblehead and watch the mid pack coming down. Ride then on the road to Pen y Ghent lane with the race and you can watch the riders going up and descending.

I have two children, and if anyone is “stuck” with them at the weekend it’s me.

If I was you I’d have a ring round some London stores and take them along on the choo choo with the promise of ice creams etc.

There are more than 5 bike shops within 30 miles of Thurrock.

I ordered two last Thursday which have arrived today.

As it says elsewhere the batteries will require waterproofing.

Though they work with both my Dinotte and old Magicshine batteries.

I was given a brace similar to this by the NHS when I broke my arm near the wrist a month ago.

I ride my bike wearing it, but you’ll have to experiment bending the ally to fit your riding position.

If it’s more than 1100 lumens I’d be amazed. Probably reclaimed laptop cells in the battery pack I would imagine. Definitely one to charge in a metal box.

1100 lumens is plenty. I’ve got a 500 lumen lamp that I can ride as fast as I can with.

Even if the battery is rubbish you can pick up a 4400mah in the UK for £30 or 6600mah for £35.

Some guys I know have started a regular night road ride out of Romiley on a Friday night.

I often go out at night on the road. It’s much faster than during the day and without the usual associated risks. Though watch out for foxes and badgers. 🙂
