Seriously though, thought it might come in handy if he’s asleep in it when I get home. Can leave him in there unitl he wakes up.

You’ll find once they are tall enough to stretch their legs and touch the floor the above won’t be a good idea. :)

Meta 5 and a Marin Attack trail. Disliked both for different reasons.

Would gladly have back the rest of the bikes I’ve had over the years though.

We used the Deuter. I liked the freestanding aspect.

Iirc the Macpac is quite heavy before you put a child in.

Not a scam as such. Just someone bidding on a load of the same thing until he gets one at a price that suits him.

Leaving 11 other people without a non paying bidder.

Good find that. I think the camera is located on Highgate Rd.

I got a couple of strava top 10 spots today without really trying with some Maxxis Muds today. I’d probably go for the ubiquitous Lancruisers though. They roll fast on the road and would be great on towpaths.

Look at the quality of video on youtube.

    They’re nowhere near GoPro quality.

I have a Fiio X3 but that’s probably overkill for listening to audiobooks.

I tracked a parcel delivered to me the other day. My delivery was number 93 of 95.

If you can get the bolt out, just get another one. Though I’d also buy a crank extractor. It will catch more thread.

Back in the day I chased a few motorists down. The classic angry cyclist.

I’m older and mellowed now. Quiet roads or off road now thanks.

Can’t be arsed with the hassle.

    Update.

I went for a FiiO X3, a bit more than I was hoping to spend, but seems to tick the audio quality box.

Can’t name a particular ride, there have been lots.

What stands out is how much good riding round here I’ve either discovered or rediscovered. Oh and what a fantastic summer.

Can’t see past Sandisk mesel’. Mostly because they last forever and go for a good week of dog walks of about an hour a day. Also, they’re compatible with Audibles audiobooks.

Yep seen those Sandisk clippy things too.

I’d be surprised if that made the mid week movie slot.

edit: it’s this one… (not sure if they make anything similar these days)
    http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/cowon-iaudio-f2-2gb/4505-6490_7-32106949.html

That looks ace, just like an old phone. 2GB though. ;)

£100 would get you God’s mp3 player, would it not? What with the inexorable march of smartphone tech nowadays.

I think the top Cowons are substantially more than that.

Though tbh all I want is a player, without the fancy arse screen and video.

Oh and 16gb at a pinch but 32gb would do.

I’ve had a couple of these and they’ve been great (although I don’t have particularly exacting standards for an mp3 player). Have an 8gb one, small and rectangular, that has superb battery life and is pretty rugged. Taken it out cycling for years and it’s not missed a beat. You’d probably get it for a fiver on ebay now, as it must be long since superceded by ‘better’ models.

What’s the model? Likewise I’m looking to chuck something in my back pocket sub £100.

There’s some big hitters on that list. It should be an interesting race to watch from ones armchair.

Note to self – Must not go out too fast.

If they can afford it they should reciprocate your generosity.

Why should another parent feel pressured to spaff a load of money on whatever just because someone else does?

IME parents who can’t be arsed (and can afford it) ship kids of the cinema followed by a trip to MaccyDs.

Some of the best parties my kids have been to have cost buttons, but have involved a lot of parent planning and input.

When my kids friends come round they get fed and maybe get given some sweet money for the shop.

Can’t say I’ve ever given any thought to what they get or don’t when they go visiting. They have after all gone to play with their friends.

Dark and White do some 3-4 hours events over the winter?

If that’s too short you’ll have to wait on the 12/24 races in the summer.
