Do you live two doors down from Bunnyhop?

I’ve happily use ebay over the years as a seller, but our time together is coming to an end.

I have no problem with ebay trying to make sure that the buyer doesn’t get ripped off, though the latest ToS are increasingly favouring the buyer, and not the seller.

Thinking back, once the seller lost the ability to tell their side of the story via feedback some years back the unscrupulous buyer became more common.

I’ve got one. I did the HTR550 on it. It started of live as a 26er and also has clearance to be run as full on 29er, but that would be to big for me.

Rode over from Hayfield with my boy via Cut Gate to see the planes.

    Great day out.

But being able to just stop, pitch tent and bed down for the night is a useful one to have in the armoury

Ride until, you’re tired, you’ll sleep anywhere. I slept in a graveyard once.

The improvement goes just past the Kinder Low BW turn off.

The FP? Having walked up and down it a number of times, I would say don’t bother. It’s very steep in a number of places.

What has happened to the double track up to Jacobs, just rutted or “remade”

    Fist sized grit stone pieces.

Easy enough to ride up it, care needed descending at speed though.

    Best of luck ivano.

Klite are supposed to be good but i still think they look like they specced the cheapest naffest looking connectors in the maplin catalogue.

They do have a somewhat industrial look. :)

quick google says there are a number of free packages out there.

From what I recall reading up on it most OCR programs struggle with race numbers. They are generally a small part of the entire picture. The numbers are often partially obscured, or angled to the camera. More than one rider in the picture. Writing on kit also creates false positives.

    I asked this awhile back.

The answer then was it was a manual job.

There would be a way if of doing it if the rider rode over a timing mat v close to the photographer.

    That was quite surreal.

    Montenegro looks nice though.

    I’ve just phoned his work.

Apperently he was in intensive care for a bit, but is now back on a normal ward. Sounds like things are going well for him.

The nano-flex armwarmers don’t stay water resistant for long. I wonder if that’s the same with the gabba?

Coming off of Whernside I would say is more tech than Cut Gate, and the rocks are sharper.

Running, there is no running unless you are Rob Jebb, Nick Craig never runs in the peaks (but can certainly run).

Gearing fit a 1:1 gear so that you can ride most of the way up PyG

Practice walking up V steep hills with your bike. Lots.

    Good work!
I don’t think I could do that. Proper respect.

    Thanks. You probably could though.

Read this,[/url] Mallory’s grandson’s account of how after many tries he “everested” on his bike, which was part of his training for the real thing

    Well done that man….

Did you loose the will to live or carry on at any point?

    Thanks.

Once I’d got over the initial niggles it was quite enjoyable. It’s a pretty place to be.

I’d ride up there again tomorrow if my legs worked. :)

I’ve done it with my wife and kids. A nice route.

As ^^^^ I wouldn’t advise skinny slick tyres.

Good tyres, get the wider ones. They’re fairly good against punctures, but Hawthorn wil puncture them.

Gears are a nightmare at that age.

I swapped gripshift for normal shifters, but even then unless the cable routing is spot on they’ll struggle.

Bar end shifters have the greatest leverage, but that won’t help you if it’s a MTB setup (without converters)

Don’t knock Whinlatter, it’s great for young kids. My boy has a scar on his face that he got on the blue aged 5.

The Lakes proper though has some gems.

Dollywagon, Nan Bield, Rossett Ghyll, Stakes Pass, Garburn etc….

Where I live it’s hard to get 5000ft in a 100miler without repeating. Might be set for some very very dull evening hill reps….

We’ve done a few reps already. Apparently we have to go to the Alps or Pyrenees next year as reps are boring.

A rubbish day yesterday weatherwise, so we jacked after ~600 metres.

    Did ~1500 today though.
