    I enjoy my inlaws company.

    See them most weeks.

Wish I saw my Mum as often.

Something like village + thatched + cottage in image search.

That brought up somewhere in Oxfordshire which in turn took me to Fotolibra, which showed a picture of Welford on Avon.

Francis Frith have a searchable archive of postcards which clenched it.

Why does that girl not have stirrups, that’s what I want to know?

I’d not a clue where it was, other than it must be a local popular view.

I knew if that was the case, there would be a postcard showing a similar view.

You can even buy a jigsaw of the house on the R.H. side. Ten Penny Cottage.

What do I win for my googling skillz ? :)

    Boat Lane, Welford on Avon.

Can’t quite get the angle of the original picture though. It must have been taken tight up to the wall on the LHS.

The picture below is taken from the far end of your tray photo.

My Mum wants me to come home tomorrow and my aunt has threatened to come and drag me out. Apparently I’ve turned from a well dressed outgoing lad to a scrubber.

There you go, you’re family are prepared to help you out.

    Go.

If you are not happy, get out.

I’d not put up with half of what I’ve seen you mention on here.

It looks cool but then would it be that beneficial? Wheel changes would be far too slow for racers and is it really worth all the extra gubbins for an inch and a half of front suspension?

I’d have one for the 3 peaks!

Is there any content in there that can be read with an internet browser?

Then there’s the Barkley. A mere 100 miles.

Out of 1000 entrants only 14 have finished it.

There are hundreds of threads out there on the pros and cons.

Our pact bikes[/url] tandem will have one fitted.

The pros for me are there is no derraileur /hangar to break, and a chain will last longer than on a conventional setup.

If your kid is achieving A/B grades they will mostly be left on their own because there isn’t much value that can be added.

Modern tick box teaching is not working for bright kids

That certainly isn’t the case at my daughter’s (state) school.

Not done as many miles as last year.

Though the quality has been high. Highland Trail finisher is my personal highlight.

The best thing though has been riding with my son. There’s not much if anything that he can’t do now on a bike that I can.

We’re looking forward to next year, we’ve got some big stuff planned.

Some of their jerseys look OK, if you can tolerate the price.

If I was given one of the Orange ones I would not wear it though.

@richpips, you’re not going through these places as part of a long distance race are you? If you are then I will be joining you.

    Not the Transcontinental.

Though it will be a ride against the clock.

There’s no way of getting from Mam Nick to just after the bodged bit without roading it to get to the RH run towards Roych Clough is there? Hmm…might have to have a rethink of a new route.

You could head over Oxlow, Perry foot way. Further, but you get the op to visit the No Car cafe at Rushop Hall before regaining Rushup edge.

Thin tights and a pair of waterproof trousers presuming it’s wet.

You really don’t want a wet gritty arse.

2 v brakes AND a hub brake on the rear wheel? For big skids fully loaded?

The hub brake is a drag brake to scrub speed on long descents. If you relied on rim brakes alone, you’d melt the rims/explode the tyres etc.

Forgetting his tone for a minute, he seems to have thought through his needs quite well.

I say good luck to him.

Oh, and BTW who here had heard of Tommy Godwin before DavidB brought him to our attention? Not many.
