my befe was on the harsh side and left me in a bit of pain after each ride so I sold it and bought a NS surge which is alot better IMO . I did a 4 hour ride in the peaks this weekend and it was fine ! I think it could be to do with the 27.2 seatpost ? seatpost is key I think !

some great bikes here I love the idea of back to basics , I’m thinking of a genisis fortitude , it’s £1250 and some shops do 0% finance 🙂 but do I sell my hardcore hardtail with 140 mm forks ? I do like the maintenance free approache and I live in the chilterns !

the chainring is a hope one 34t I think

It’s a large frame and the Ns surge is designed to be very compact so when you do drop the saddle it’s real fun to ride downhill .

yes its a 26er …I do want to go 29er at some stage but it’s quite expensive to convert …i’m happy on this for a while longer 🙂

would the renult megane be better on fuel as its only a 2.0 ltr to a 2.5 ltr with the st ?
