well pedants aside I thought it was quite cool.
I too have heard Thompson are making a dropper post, there was even a page put up by accident I believe on their website a while ago, anyone heard any more about this?
Hi, ordered one from bike-discount.de on friday, £320 delivered (without brakes) turning up tomorrow according to tracking.
They have all variations in stock I think, worth a look
You should be fine to run a full length cable from shifter to last cable stop. Either by drilling out existing guides or by getting those m:part cable guide holders http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=19014
Or hope used to do screw in ones I believe.
Jut dont drill out the last cable stop.
Will improve your shifting in the mud.
Thank you very much for the info, looks like it’s going to be almost as expensive to import a second handone as buy a brand new one.
Cheers for the information
Don’t worry flashheart – did you not here of the recent devastation? There is no riding there anymore, we just push our bikes round the barren landscape remembering what was once there, it’s more of a gesture than anything else. RIP lordswood
Had a fun body going one way ankle going the other way whilst playing football on tuesday, bored sat on the couch watching tv.
Prob wont be up later bit sore, hopefully be up next week. Glad the cars getting sorted looking forward to seeing it.
+1 for Sanderson, i have a Life and it is absoloutely brilliant, rides great and enough spring in the rear for all day comfort.
if your anywhere near Southampton/ Hampshire your more than welcome to ride mine to test it out.
i’ll be there, 7 at coxford. i’ll bring some cash and happy to do whatever people want to do afterwards. apprently flash floods later on, so prob good idea to bring a waterproof too!
was there ever any pro-pics from the mtb race the other week? got bored of searching from them, this thread has reminded me about it.
any one have a link to them would be good to see them.
cheers
thanks for the info Inkster, that is really useful.
am only really looking for a frame to build up as have more than enough parts lying around the garage to build the rest.
why is 32:16 the golden rule?
i push quite big gears normally when out riding, have a 34 middle on my current bike so wondering if 34:17 might be a slightly better way to go?
will try both and see how it goes.
Fieldmarshall I am looking forward to deliberately holding you up all summer now!
some good inspiration there and enjoying the pics.
Liking the look of the simples a lot.
Alcopop,
brilliant frame, i have a Sanderson Life and it is a fantastic bike, the soloist looks really nice as well, if i can find a cheap 2nd hand one may consider it as i love my geared one.
