Popped in last night was fine, no more muddy than it ever is when it rains.
    Will see you there.
Also I believe beer funds have run dry so maybe bring some cash this week if you are venturing out.

i did up an old kona last year as a ride to work/pub bike, totally worth it, great ride and really light, I managed to get some 500lx bits off a bike I found at the local tip so i didn’t even pay for parts, run it 1×7, so alivo will be more than enough, it all works well enough just weighs a bit more.
it has the added advantage of being old enough that nobody would steal it either.
do it yourself as well to keep it on the cheap.

I have decided to give up life and move to a shed in California.
    Inspiring stuff

I enjoy flitting between the two, makes you appreciate suspension when you get back on it, but rigid is a lot of fun and is a lot easier to keep clean in winter.
A second hand pair of steel 29er rigids will only cost around 30 quid, get some and a decent set of sus forks then switch between the two, happy days 😀

at no point do you get to see the cranks in action, on a bike or any kind of data supporting that bent crank arms would be better than straight ones.

I have been using a nitrider minewt for my commutting bike/ running, for the last 2 yrs, granted not the brightest, but for road stuff it is more than adequate, the occassional sortie offroad (canal paths etc) it is fine (not good enough for full on offroad mtb), helmet or bar mount, super light, i also use it for running as well and never notice it really.
usb charge at work off the computer means i never have to worry about it running out, lasts over 2 hours. job done.
think i paid around £60 for it in a sale from lbs.

    good god Matt,
    my bike is plastic now,
after reading minority alarmist reports on a forum about cracking Ti frames, I immediately sold all of mine to unsuspecting people who are less well informed than me 😉
good luck with the car and see you next week.

    Bring lights

if I only bring one light – will I die?
also my frame may or may not potentially have a crack in it – will I die?
I may not be running mud tyres for Lordswood this week – will I die?
Other stupid endings to questions will be answered later!

Other than that see you there 😉

I got some of these in the crc sale at the weekend, a bit cheaper then, but still a good deal now, really pleased with them. Size up tho, my 45’s are a uk9.5

I have to agree with other people on here w ran them for a couple of weeks, could never get them to feel right, so went back to the original clamps, problem solved. Shame as they are a great idea.

Looks nice, not as nice as the original rigid kili elites tho, seems a pretty good price tho.

    Who or what is WCA?

“Some say that in a previous life he was Tom Ritchey’s Clunker and he can “ride a jump bike” only with his left foot. All we know is, he’s called WCA”

Exactly the same happened to me on friday last week, have sent them back under warrenty, fortunately was on the flat at the time.
Got mine from crc, phoned them up and they said to send them in, so I would recomend going to where you bought them from and doing the same.

that article is really interesting, i was not surprised that he finished by saying he would continue taking some of the drugs if he could afford it as some of the side benefits, recovery, eyesight etc would be obvious “nice to haves”.
    well worth a read.
