Put the camera into servo mode so its constantly focusing on the rider and pan along with the rider in the viewfinder whilst firing the shutter. Use the camera in Program mode (P) so the ISO, shutter speed, apeture is handled by the camera if youre unfamiliar with using manual

Could you have got past the wing mirror without much inconvenience to yourself? That includes hopping off the bike for 5 seconds and leaning away from the car, and then hopping back on?

If yes, then you should feel bad and should at least offer to make appropriate reparation. And perhaps have a think about the motivation behind the damage in the first place – how would you feel if it was your car, particularly at the moment when cash isn’t as readily available?

I didnt in the slightest, my sis has just had a sprog and the amount of cars who park like arses and she ends up having to push the baby along the road up here because she cant get past, I now couldnt give a toss the message will have got through and they wont park so close and leave such a small gap in future, Or at least i would hope the message had got through.

My car is never parked on a kerb as from my understanding that is illegal, Its either on my drive, at work or on the edge of a carpark away from other cars i also hate the trolley dints, I’m very particular where i park

I almost took the wingmirror of a clio off once similar situation 680mm bars wouldnt get through so how the **** a horse or buggy would, I clouted the wingmirror and it folded back on itself

I asked this question only last week so check my prev posts for some more answers if this thread ends up a bit thin, I went for the ones made by Raleigh or at least distributed by them named ‘outbound’

They are nice and comfy and give me more confidence as they dont budge at all and look pretty good too, they’re very similar to the ruffians

I use XM719s laced to PROII hubs theyre cheaper than your budget and strong, You could get the 819s which i guess would be an extra fiver on the rims which would allow you to go tubeless

i camped at Kipford HP over the road from Dalbeattie did the 7 stanes and thought Kirroughtree came top spot then followed by Glentress, Dalbeattie, Ae, Mabie. Id like to have a trip to kielder next time i’m up there as icve heard its pretty good too

Dalby is also my Local but i find it quite boring i use it just to get out 😆

North face trail at grizedale is also good once you get about 30% the way in, I did this in a very cold (-6) Icy morning, mental dont think i’l go back up til its warmer the boards were rather slippy and the rocks werent good either but it aws a day out

I had an 07 stumpy comp, you can get them for under £700 now second hand i believe, for the money its a brilliant bike and can leave other riders on lighter better specced bikes behind, That was my fave thing about it, It zipps along like a loon

It’d leave you with £300 to spend on upgrades, which i would go with Wheels and crankset like i did, It made it so much better not having cranks that flexed and lighter wheels

I had problems with my current set on my last bike the brakes would always be shinging, but ive put that down to the old frame as my new build is silent as a mouse 😀

Occasionally i’l get the spongy lever if the bike been upside down and the brakes pumped to reset the caliper, but its nothing a few hours the bike the correct way up and a zip tie on the lever cant resolve

Ive bought a few bikes and only my most recent is my own custom build

Ive had a Kona scab which was factory, then i added disks and suspension

Kona coiler again factory spec then i stuck some Mono m4s on it

07 Stumpy FSR was again factory then i specced it up planning for a custom build on a new frame in future

Then i bought a heckler frame off here, bought some new pikes and a few other new bits, stripped the stumpy and put a few nessecary parts on the heckler plus the new bits. After i’d build it it gave me a lovely feeling 😆 and i’m keeping it

Buy a bottle of swarfega, works out cheaper than finish line because you get more for your money, Its water soluble and is stronger and IMO cleans parts up better

I think tontos second suggestion has the answer, I take it youve pushed the pistons fully in? If you have and they are protruding slightly theres too much fluid in them.

I had exactly the same prob with mine and was scratching my head as they came from the factory like it, dropped some fluid and it sorted it

Got to be fitting and removing tyres with wire beads, numb thumbs 🙁

Front mechs another of my least faves too, On the middle ring mine will either rub on the inside of the mech (so i turn the barrel adjuster to compensate) then when i drop down to the highest gear after that it catches on the outside of the mech 😈

Ive just recenlty had to do the same with mine, the spring is a pain in the a**e it jumps off if youre not careful when putting the cover back on, thats the only real problem i had, the minor was the indicator which now doesnt read the correct gear but that doesnt matter IMO as Xos do without 🙂
