Love the place, and the new red golden trail gives the places a new dimension.

Like other have said its fast and flowy, apart from the mile climb at the start

Great food at the cafe, can be a bit crowded at weekends

    I ride to work everyday,

bought a handsome dog xc03 frame, wheels gears and brakes from my old gary fisher, other bits from the forum on here, have a blackburn flea 4 for the rear light and a hope vision 1 up front

decent waterproof jacket in a blacks sale and pants from crc.

Saved me shed loads of frustration of waiting for the bus let alone the 2 quid each way.

So just do it, and it keeps the beer off your belly

you MAY need something like this

IS standard to a post fitting which is what I use on my trek ex8

But my trek will only take a maximum 180mm rotor on the rear wheel so check before hand

I have the standard nano’s and they’re brilliant.

I’m a skinny lad and have them on the old
hardtail for the weekly commute and the full sus
for the weekend blast. Taken plenty of abuse

Would’nt bother with the ti upgrade to be honest

    Hi

I bought my trek ex8 2008 model, from the lads, which was only 6 months old at the time,so gave them a ring to put my mind at ease.

    No problems at all.

    I received my powerlinks today

Came in a cardboard box big enough for a haynes car manual

Think someone needs to reprogram the packing computer

Crack on crc and get it sorted out.

For me Llandegla is only an hour away.

Its a great blast and has helped with improving my fitness, ok may not be the most technical of places. The red route is really good fun with the option of the black route.

But with the skills area, pump track has put life back into the place, even if the 2 mile climb is a bit monotonous.

So as for your tyre choice, go with something fast rolling, and the cafe at the end of the ride has some great food for refuelling.
