    I would try

    1. Have the laptop up and running without the hard drive connected providing that works, then connect the hard drive unit without the external power supply. There maybe enough juice in the battery to power the hard drive unit as well as the laptop.

    2. If you have a multimeter, with the red lead connected to the centre of the connector and the black lead on the outside on the power supply connector, see if the meter reads a voltage without this connected should read 19v on the dc range.

    Hope this helps

Yer I seen acdc at donington in ’91 with metallica for support. We all went in my mates transit van, What a day out that was, with likes of motley crue for starters, The video/dvd is well worth a watch. Still have great memories to this day.

Been into them since late school/college, picked up most of the albums from record and cd fairs, likes of if you want blood and highway to hell still getting played in the car on my stereo to this day.

I off to fire up youtube now. bye

Been abroad with easyjet and thompson, never been quizzed the contents, I had knee pads and tools in with the bike.Get some pipe lagging or bubble wrap to protect your frame, and take the rear derailleur and pedals off.

I took my lid strapped to my rucsac as hand luggage – No problems.

I would have a look at argos or amazon for a NIMH recharge-able battery.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_scat_431411031_ln?rh=n%3A431411031%2Ck%3A9v+battery&keywords=9v+battery&ie=UTF8&qid=1335363111&scn=431411031&h=26682dcf100f331eb01635f9ce4c3ad8cbb7e4de

300mah would give you 300ma for 1 hours use if the device is rated 300ma.

Plus they dont have the memory effect of the old nicads

My trek ex8 2008 picked up s/h, is good which is a 15″ has been brilliant for a first full sus.

But the Yeti blows it away. Its lively, solid feel, bit on the large side for the small. I tried a medium in the carbon but was too big for little me. I’m 5’5″ by the way.

The full carbon version is awesome, but I couldnt justify the extra pennies. Just to have it for weekends and holidays.

Dont think I’ll be buying another bike in the forseeable future.

Can i throw my handsome dog 14″ into your thinking pot.

I have been riding one of these to and from work, up down the canal, park etc.

Run reba forks so not sure how much the handling and geometry would be effected with longer travel forks.

My trek ex8 2008 will only take the fox rp2, if I wanted to upgrade to the rp23 I’d have to change the rocker arm. So maybe your local specialised shop for info.

As long as it fits physically it will be alright, the camera will only draw the power it needs, so giving you a longer lifespan.

I have the ixus 80 and bought a spare duracell battery from amazon works a treat.

With my trek ex8 I use these pressure settings

Roughly my body weight in kilograms for the forks, and my body weight in pounds for the rear shock. So 62kg = 62 psi or 130lbs = 130 psi.

This gives me the required sag, doesnt bottom out, and
    doesnt feel spongy.

Does anyone else use a similar idea ?

I’ve used easyjet with no problems. bike protected with pipe lagging, pedals off bars tip tied too side of frame forks etc. shoes bike gear in with bike rest in luggage, had helmet attached to rucsac as hand luggage. No probs as long as its within the weight and size allowances

I ride red blue and black at Llan on a 2008 ex8

I’m not bothered by what people think of me, my bike or my kit.

Just out to enjoy the ride, and the coffee and cake at the end !

Anyways cant see a better way of spending your pennies.

Yeh me and my mates would build jumps out of old doors and keep jacking the end up with bricks see who could handle the biggest jumps. we’d then set fire to said doors on bonfire night. All done without safety gear around the old overhead railway lines in liverpool circa 1978.

All jumps performed on a raleigh commando. unlike my 2 grand trek today.
