For that sort of money I’d leave it in the bank, and use the wheels you have for riding the trail centres, if anything like mr fudge, i’d put it to a hol in the alps.

I have used stranded richer sound cable for years now, using an old sony 100w amp and a pair of tdl floor standers. your all welcome to and judge my setup. As spending the afternoon in richer testing out a variety of speakers.

My first job was in a recording studio, and all we used was stranded mains cable for the studio monitors, no fancy ofc stuff.

shimano xt is the ones you want. doddle to bleed, superstar pads are great, citroen suspension fluid and a spanner/tube for the bleed kit.

cost practically nothing to look after 🙂

Stop giving me ideas for upgrading my yeti.

Yes the carbon version was mind blowing but couldnt justify the extra cash. But looking at a layback seatpost and a shorter stem to get my arse bit further over the back end of the steep stuff.

I have had mine for nearly 2 years. regular round llandegla and the marin. its been thrown round gisburn/lee quarry. super rutty xc in bulgaria, and due to the size of my plums, the red graded stuff in les arcs although when i go back i want to change the forks from 120 to 140.

My other bike is a hardtail built up from everyones offcasts on here, the yeti is a wake up call for the theiving bike scum round a city centre.

I have been using LHM mineral oil in my xt775 brakes for 3 years now. No probs 1 litre cost me 4 quid from the load car shop. If you want to carry on paying the fee to shimano ?

I’d never buy a new car, I think its a mugs game.

My corsa which I picked up for 1200 quid is still going strong after 5 years of runs into wales and the peaks at weekends and a weekly trip to asda.

Throughly recommend a trip to peru.
Started in lima, down the coast and then upto to lake titicaca
Then made our way to cusco spend couple of days there
then made our way across to macchu picchu.
Of which we had sightings of llama foetus from one of
the markets next to the railway.

Also a self guided trip round the yucatan peninsula mexico.

    Both brilliant experiences.

My shimano xt 775 brakes are a doddle to bleed. No need for expensive shimano brake fluid, Go the local car shop…not halfords, Buy some citroen supension fluid for about 3 quid, the spanner for the bleed nipple, and a peice of tubing.

Find yourself a guide on yootube, a mug of coffee and teach youself the process in an afternoon.

I stayed at ambleside YHA which was fine for getting out riding and exploring.

But had the misfortune of staying in a room with 3 drunken noisy louts from huddersfield. A bloke and his son and 2 scottish climbers.

Of which nearly ended in a fight at 3 in the morning.

The poor lad didnt get any sleep, so all his adventures in grizedale forest on the Go ape circuit and a GPS hunt was abandoned.

I shall return to the hostel as I think theyve been barred.
We all made a hell of a racket at 6am getting up and leaving, had to wait till 8am to make complaints with the managment.

I was going to mention delamere, nice wide trails, visitor centre for tea and cake, and if you get five minutes to yourself, go and find the hole in the hedge for the old pale downhill run.
