I ride a 14″ Handsome dog xc01. Frame bought from all terrain cycles, and built up with some hope wheels, headset, BB, and some XT kit off the forum. Had it for 5 years now for work, commuting etc.
I wear glasses for daily stuff as I’m blind as a bat. My usual problem is them steaming up, rain and stuff, for the three mile commute. But recommend the daily contacts (-6) for riding offroad. I use some clear glasses for riding to keep wind and grit out of my eyes, and a tinted lense for when the sun shines. No issues.
I’ve just bought a beko after about 12 years with the old zanussi. I’d replaced the door lock on it 5 years ago, now the bearings are shot. For the hassle of pulling it to pieces and cba/lethargy creeping in. I decided on a new one. So far thumbs up to AO for the communication and delivery.
Like the others have said squirt WD40 inside prising them open with a small screwdriver. Clean up the bars with something like Isopropanol Alcohol. Slide your new grips on with the wife’s hairspray.
Off to Afan on friday, staying over and having a play about on the trails. Never been before, so looking forward to it. Then off to BPW on Monday morning, Nothing silly as that too is first time, so just the blue runs, and see what the reds are like. Back to work on Tuesday.
