Take camelbak, Plastic bowl and some sporks. half a dozen freezer bags of cereal for breakfast, Buy coffee from camp vans, and use milk for the cereal. Old bike light. Go to Parc Guell. And the Port. Maybe the Olympic stadium and the Velodrome.

I caught one of the locals with his hand in my pocket. Long before the days of smart phone. So nothing serious happened, he just ended up on the floor in a heap.

I’ve recently been to Berlin, and would recommend a fatbike tour if they have them.

My first job was working in a recording studio in Liverpool.

Met many of the local bands. One or two idiots.

But I did get to meet Cozy Powell. throughly nice bloke. and sadly missed.

I used a company called Grasshopper Adventures. Amazing place, the food is fantastic, I went in August, torrential downpours about teatime every night.

I have been several years on the trot. Didnt go last year due to a months backpacking across South Asia. And I only get the usual 6 weeks off.

Superb weeks riding, 100% natural riding from the front door, Plenty of climbing, plenty of descending, there are no van/ lift assists to the top, it’s as technical as you want it to be, finding the lines for your style? 5 days all different. I enjoy the Coast day. Each year I have been is totally different from the previous year.

120 quid will last a week. Food (You will not go hungry), beer, Ice creams on the beach at the end of the ride. He even picks/drops you up at the airport at 1am!

I had a long weekend in the summer for a gig in one of the parks. System of a down. And did a couple of touristy sightseeing on the other days

The fat bike tours are fun at the TV tower.

Don’t worry the transport system is superb. 5 minute walk from the airport to the u-bahn.

    https://www.berlin.de/en/public-transportation/1742343-2913840-underground-subway.en.html

The self service machines for the ubahn have english options.

    Hope this helps.

Since my moving flat 13 years ago. This put me within a 3 mile ride to work. Quieter roads and parks for my commute to work. Some decent lights and a waterproof jacket for the yukky days. I’m home in 15 minutes most days. Keep socks, a towel, some wet wipes in work. Fitter now than I was in my youth.

I went out in August. Have been planning a visit to the temples for a few years. I’d met someone who worked for grasshopper, on one of the skyrides I led a couple of years ago. Anyway an amazing part of the world, the food is amazing, the people are really friendly. interesting culture, stunning temples, throughly recommended.

Only problem was the multiple flights. Well looked after with Etihad. The staff in Mumbai airport are on another planet.

What a hoot. Ardrock Virgin no more. Hopefully be back for next years. I did the Intro and had a whale of a time, tackling stuff that was well above my skill level. Come off at the start of stage 6, nice bruise on the calf, few cuts and scrapes. Brilliant atmosphere. I hope the lad who had an OTB ad landing on top of a photographer on stage 5 was ok!

Could someone also fix the lights on my other route home, at the junction of Princes and Sefton Park. Also in the favour of tin box sensors. Not as busy going home this way.

    ricardo666

I’m having to navigate 4 sets of traffic lights, within 2 and half miles. And 2 busy junctions without. Some mornings like others have said its pedal like hell, due to rain/it’s cold, and hit every light, or time it, so I don’t have to dab. I wish someone would fix the timing of the pelican crossing by Toxteth libary (Should be in our favour, not the tin boxes).

I had a Sony 930, used it for recording the friday rockshow. And a little player for listening to stuff on bus to work.

Mine hasnt been out the cupboard for a decade now, Mp3 and internets have put an end to it. Still use my cd’s though.
