Pro core looks interesting. The wheels I have are not the best so I will look into the pro core when I replace the wheelset with something a bit nicer.

I took voluntary redundancy a few months ago (still working out my redundancy period ATM in medical diagnostics) and managed to pick up a job with the Environment Agency i have always wanted to do.

The VR, along with a few other things admittedly, kind of gave me the push I needed to get my act together and find something to do that I actually believe in. I think without that I would have stayed in my current job and just festered miserably.

I have no wife and kids s my situation is a bit less complex than yours maybe. Its a new start in a new city which could be good or bad but it will be a change!

I lost 2 cats within a year of each other. Jess never came home one day and Molly was run over on the way home one morning. It was more upset at the time about Molly being run over but overall I think of Jess more often as I just dont know what happened to her.

Got 2 others now. It felt like the right thing to do to give some other strays a home. I would not be without them, they have been awesome company since my GF left a bit ago. Also they have even invited a local stray to move in with them. They didn’t even ask!

I fear for the riders this year. Some of the stuff they have built looks mental. I’ll watch it but from behind a cushion.

My initial frustration was the fact they changed the dates of things after I had applied for the redundancy. I applied for it thinking that 30/09 was the end, and I think that’s what’s written on any paper work etc. They have come back as said you are going but its now 31/01/17.

To be honest its probably a bit better like this as it doesn’t hugely effect y plans at the minute. I would be unimpressed if I get something and have to leave before the 31/01 as in my opinion they have moved the goalposts on this.

Yeah my plans aren’t changing. It is only 4 months so it could be easy enough to work that into a new start date.

The bearings where Changed but the lbs on Friday. Too my bike to another stiniog rode 2 runs before the wheel developed play again.

Figure it’s cheaper if I do it myself from now on!

Hasn’t Ratboy been having issues with bike set up? I think i read that somewhere. I bet there will be serious words when it comes to contract re-negotiation though. 2014 he was amazing, its understandable that 2015 would be difficult due to his injury, but this year he is barely making the top 20!

I have my Stanton Slackline in the classifieds. It would fit pretty well. 26″ though so I don’t know if thats a big issue.

Cats know where the food and treats are. I have no doubt it will turn up at the window before long.

Took a friend’s older cat when she had to move. The little devil ran off after 1 day. It came back 2 days later hungry. They are pretty good at making their way home when they know you hold all the dreamies.

So the question I have is regarding reach and stack.
Demo= Reach 410 and stack 593mm
Status = Reach 420 and stack 648

The Status runs 135mm rear and 73mm cranks. I liked a Demo frame but it was 150mm rear and 83mm cranks. So a straight swap is a bit more awkward. The bits on it are fine, drive train is a bit tired but still ok. Im happy with the forks etc.

I think something a bit longer would be good, hence wanting the change.

I really like the FSR suspension platform so would happily get a Demo, but finding one at the right price is not as easy as I thought! The frame I liked on Pinkbike was a 2011 but on for £600. I saw a 2012 full build sell for under £950 on ebay. That kind of makes the frame only option seem expensive…

This week last the past few weeks have generally been poop. However I am off to Andorra for a week tomorrow so hopefully I will come back in a better frame of mind!

If I even bother coming back, may just stay in the hills and herd goats.
