Yeah I have had a look but I can’t tell what model is what half the time so I was hoping someone would be able to show me their footage which as definately filmed with the 960 model.

I have washed my i-pod shuffle several times. I think the thing to do is not to turn it on or anything until you have left if for a while to dry out. I use the silcia gel in a tuppaware box method. The ipod still works perfectly. Not sure how a bigger one will fair though due to more moving parts! Good luck.

Thanks but no thanks, I’d rather MTB specific wheels for those just incase my proper MTB’s wheels break kind ofsituation!

I thought about one of them as I have driven one in the past and really liked it. I think an estate is what I want though.

I do like the octavia 4×4 and I think it does seem to be the one I would likely go for in the abscence of any other contenders.

Is the Panda 4×4 excatly the same car as the regular panda just with 4 wheel drive??

I’d rather relaibale and economical than fast and fun! Its going to get scruffy due to dirty bikes and muddy bike kit.

I want something functional as opposed to a new toy.

I really want AWD as i live up in the mountians in north wales and after the past few years of snow and ice and no council gritting I want something that I can at least stand a chance of getting around in but which isn’t a full on landrover or similar.

I tried to ride Nant yr Arian today and gave up as it was deep snow and ice.

I reckon both the Marin and Penmachno would be in a far worse state. Plus there is a chance of more snow tonight so I don’t know how fun riding in it would be!

I’m heading down to Aberaeron from Bangor thursday, anyone know if that way is passable?

Also is Nant yr Arian is a ridable state? Its frozen solid on most things apart from the main roads up here!

That is great news! I have been trawling through the policy document trying to clarify it and nothing is explained!

I am with m&s insurance with a contents only policy. However since taking out the policy my bike collection has grown. I have 3 bikes 2 of them over 3k (cost of a new replacement they are not actually both worth that!) and the other 1.5k. So, according to the info posted here, they do not count as a collection of items over 4k, they are individual items each under the 4k mark?
Can anyone clarify which it is? A coeection or individual items?

I don't think its that as I was careful not to allow each piston to come out too far. Maybe I pushed them in too far? Is that possible?

I have an MRP Long range patrol dual ring device with lexan bashguard if you are interested in something like that? Its a BB mounted one and worked great with my Saint crankset.

Get in touch if you are interested.

I have been using an MRP Long Range Patrol for about 2 years now and it has been excellent. I run a Gamut P30 single ring device on my dh bike and that is fantastic too. Out of the two I prefer the Gamut as it looks great but to be honest they both have worked flawlessly.

I had K24s and couldn't get on with them. The bite point was all wrong, the lever feel was wrong and they never did have all the power I wanted from them. That may not mean that they are bad brakes, just not the brake I wanted!

Got Elixir 5s on my hardtail and I think they are wonderful! Good lever feel, plenty of power and lok good too!

I can bleed hope brakes quite easily, the problem is Avid require special bits to do so. If I were going to get a bleed kit I would like one that I could use on both systems ie the universal ones.

I had a go using a shimano bleed kit and found it great so was hoping to use that style of kit on hope brakes. Avid would then be done using syringes and what not.

Spy Magneto's and Blur B1's are both very good and cheap on CRC. I have used both and they are highly recommended! Maybe the Magneto's are just slightly better due to their venting.

    I'm awaiting mine!
Do they have straps on the outside for attaching a helmet or some pads?

They are the standard Hope Mini rotors that have never given me problems before. Maybe too much cold and too much wet is causing them grief.

I'm about 12.5-13st and I found the standard medium spring far to soft! I'd go for the air if I was you, much less faff.

The Toras are great but the coil version comes with a very soft spring fitted as standard. Its something to bear in mind if you are over about 12st!

I run V2s on my DH bike and my Heckler and cannot recommend them enough. I run 203 each end on my DH rig and 183 each end on my heckler and the stopping power is amazing! After years of faffing with various other brakes i am happy to say that these are the best that I have ever owned.

Get some and you won't regret it, especially if you like to go downhill quickly!

I noticed that about the 5-10s. I think they increased the sale price but put more items up for sale? I got size 8 freerider shoes in grey for 60 when the previous day they were full price.

I want to do this event so much.

I have a choice of a DHified Bullit of a Trail orientated Heckler, the question is which one? I suppose I could mix and match a bit? I have no illusions of winning, just finishing in one piece so I would be leaning towards the bullit! Any suggestions for a first timer would be great.

Apparently Hunters Silicone Lube, which is used in plumbing, is the lube of choice for sticky pistons. It can be found at most plumbing suppliers!

Would Manitou M Prep grease work with the seals? I just remembered I have a tube of that knocking round somewhere. It is supposedly ok with rubber seals?

    rhid

Would that be similar to the stuff stendtec sell for spraying on fork stanctions to make them extra slippery to eliminate stiction? I have some of that but wasn't sure if I could use it on calipers!

Are they really worth it? Does someone own one who can say either yes get one they are great and work or no they are awful don't bother!

What grease is best to use on the pistons? I have read that silicon grease is the best to use but where is the best place to get this?

    Hello Peasnotwar

The board is a Bic 9"2 Gerard Dabadie design, its the CTS construction line of boards. Its pretty light and great in most conditions. It comes with a leash and Rhino board bag.

It has been used about 3 times from new and in great condition.

I can get you pics soon if you are interested?

I'm based in Llanberis North Wales and am looking for £220 for it.

Email me on rhid14@hotmail if oyu are interested in more details.

I use an MRP LRP dual chain guide and it has worked perfectly for 18months. I recommend them. I also run a Gamut P30 on my DH bike and they are also fantastic (I don't know about their dual ring guides though). Either one would be great.

Have a look at the Hope website as they have help videos to show you how to set up V2s. If you move the red barrel adjuster you then need to reposition your lever reach too.
I run V2s on both my bikes and they did take a bit of time to set up but the results are well worth it.

I thought it was pretty decent for a bit of a ride. I really enjoyed the DH stuff in the Stile Cop bit, I was very suprised how well made it was.
