So I assume he can still be prosecuted, someone notify the Police.

What a time waster, Police have got better things to do than be outwitted by law students, he’s not setting a good example to his child jumping red lights or law breaking.

Teetosugars – you’re a brave man, I assume heights don’t bother you at all? How do you feel when you’re that high?

My fear is overwhelming sometimes, especially if I look up, nearly passed out going up the Effiel Tower.

You could only ski in the morning when I was in Tignes, how about NZ? That’s were all the French instructors go.

Which bone did you break last time? If it’s the scaphoid then it’s wise to get it xrayed again, mine didn’t heal after two years, and they can develop cysts which make the bone weaker, mine’s now screwed and grafted. If you get away with it I’d recommend you ride with wrist braces, 661 and EVS.

There was some interesting programmes on BBC Four a year or two ago called Beeching’s Tracks, Edwina Currie even presented one, you should be able to track them down online.

I second that, and no artificial sweetners.

And a simple glass of milk for a recovery drink.

You can’t really blame BT for your accounting. Openreach is owned by BT but operates as a separate business, it’s heavily regulated.

tides & waves – could this not potentially harm marine life and marine environment, especially sea defences in fragile areas?

It would help if you said which area, anyway what’s your beef with BT, I found them to be the most reliable, Virgin and Sky suck.

I commute to Victoria and London Bridge from Eastbourne sometimes, there’s lots of direct trains, if you travelling on a weekend you should be fine with your bike, in fact there’s dedivated bike carriages, only folding bikes are allowed during the rush hour on week days though. Then as mentioned I’d ride to you next connection.

If you’re in Eastbourne for the weekend and have the energy then try and head over to Friston Forest, lots of hidden singletrack and a marked red route, there’s also the famous seven sisters white cliffs at Cuckmere Haven.

    Have fun, tempted myself.

I did the same with my trek, I put on skinnier wheels and tyres (schwable marathon plus) bomb proof, and locked out the forks and rear, I have been through a few chains mainly because of always being on the big ring, disc brakes pads get worn out quicker too. It’s never going to be as fast as a road bike but it’s a good workout.
