I’m going through the same experience with trek, fortunately Evans are sorting it, they needed proof of purchase and photo of the break, trek are replacing with another frame and paying for mechanics costs, it’s taken 3 weeks so far, still no sign of frame from trek, this is the third time the frame as broken.

Not as much as my private health insurance as had to pay out because of my cycling, three operations, countless xrays, mri scans, pyshio etc etc.

Last year it was about 5k, new bike for me, wife and son, then a few upgrades, bars, reverb post, all the gels and clif bars add up too. DVD’s, mag subs.

If your riding is important to you then get your credit card out and get yourself down a private hospital.

God this is so predictable, give some people the opportunity to be over dramatic and attention seeking and they bite, it’s like there main mission on this forum is to get posts closed.

BT Broadband is fantastic for me, very fast and reliable wireless in my postcode, BT Infinity being installed in July, which gives me 50meg, more than enough. I also got a free powerline adapter with BT Vision so I can connect a PS3 over ethernet in the basement. No complaints.

Satanic references should be saved for the likes of murdoch and virgin.

I recently tried Finlandia again and it’s well ropey, fine with mixers and cocktails.

I’m always nervous that I’ll stack it big time

I did, knocked myself out and severely fractured my clavicle, when I came round, I actually thought it was just dislocated so tried to pop it back in, I then rode 10 miles over the SDW home – needless to say I got sent to A&E and was banned from riding on my own for a while.

I get bored waiting at the top of the hills so prefer riding on my own 😉

edit: the real excuse is I have two young kids so take my rides when I can, no plans

xcweather.co.uk all the way, very accurate wind speed and direction, popular with boat and fishy people

As a devoted AM40 wearer it upsets me to confess I shall not be investing in the odd looking AM41’s. 661’s sound worth giving a go.

    Babes love Kiters too.

    Pity I’m married.

I spend a lot of weekends down in Pevensey Bay nr Eastbourne in Sussex, seems to be perfect in the Bay, or it’s just been frequently easterly recently. I’ll have a look around for a day lesson, Cheers all.

I find this site pretty useful for wind direction and speed, I ride a lot on the downs, the wind can make or break you. xcweather.co.uk

Sorry, that was all a bit negative

Not at all, realistic I’d say, been watching the guys in the bay near me, looked really hard work.

My AM40’s (same sole as 41’s) are very sticky with easton flatboys. The pedals pins actually lock into the tread of the patterned sole, very clever system.

    Ditto to the Enigma

I went along to Enigma’s open day a few weeks ago, test rode the ego st and ti, amazing bikes, great to meet the frame builder and watch him at work too, would definitely recommend them, I’m saving up for a future purchase.

    Loved the grafitTi frame.

Are you using arrowroot, I make large chapatis rather than flatbreads though, add water a little at a time, mine also smoke the house out. No pics I’m afraid.

Yep off to my static caravan on the sussex coast – riding with family in Friston Forest, and just had my haircut and looking fly. Oh and looking forward to a non iDave diet day tomorrow – beer and chips.

Come off SDW at Devils Dyke then downhill into Dyke Road past all the posh houses into Brighton Train St/Town Centre/Sea Front.

    Or Pyecombe then A23.

Yep pretty happy with mine, great value. My dakine bladder leaked after a few rides, camelbak seems pretty robust.
