Was out at Swinley last night, rode past a BOB group ride – Bracknell on Bikes. There’s Nirvana shop rides over at Dorking. Seem to recall muddy moles being another, Redhill Club and Pedal & Spoke in Peaslake.

Personally, I think they should just package up the best bits of the forum every month.

Would be as dull as dishwater.

I think the mag is great, mature, well written, honest and free from any hacking scandal.

To be honest Eastbourne fit’s your brief, or even Seaford or Pevensey Bay area, I drive to Pevensey Bay every weekend from Purley, I always avoid the A23 and A27, A22 is a much quieter and nicer drive over ashdown forest (love to ride there).

How about inland Southease, Ringmer Polegate area? Or if A23 is really key then Hove or Shoreham.

I bought my sea Kayak in Newhaven, great shop on the industrial estate, check them out.

Ouch, I hope it doesn’t put the little fella off.

Don’t feel too bad, I took the whole family out on some lovely forest trails, I was leading a bit too fast, first my 7 year son old stacks it pretty bad, luckily just a few tears and no broken bones, phew… got away with that one, and then the Mother in-law goes over the handlebars, again no broken bones but pretty shook up. I wasn’t popular. You forget how dangerous it can be.

I love it, I spend most weekends there, one of the nicest coastal towns in the South East IMO, great biking, SDW, Friston Forest, Abbots Woods and some great coastal paths around Pevensey and Rye. Brighton and Lewes just up the road. I’ve always found the train more reliable than Brighton line and far less busy, you’ll get more for your buck in Eastbourne.

What else do you want to know?

Not a nice thing for that kid to witness.

I’d move on and forget about it though, unfortunately these incidents seem to be on the increase.

metal chimneas are great, get a decent site one if you want to bbq though, the only minor snag is that if it’s not raised of the floor you’ll be bending over a fair bit when you cook, no a big problem though.

Was eastbourne/jevington/friston end at the w/e on mud x’s which were fine, when you get a mixture of gloopy wet chalk, mud and sharp flint most tyres struggle on the steeper climbs.

Freezing wet chalk is the worst – like wet pizza dough.

Yep, we complained about noisy dogs, they’d leave three in the house when they went out, they’d bark all day, and he was a vet. The council took it very seriously, gave us recording equipment, we got evidence, council took action, it stop for a while, started up again, we got more evidence, council took action again. They then moved… result.

You don’t need to put up with it.
