I recall the only way to erase the file from the trash is by using the activity monitor. I had a right stubborn one that kept re-installing and taken over all my browsers with russian bride and mac security sites, I traced it down to minecraft skins that my son was innocently downloading.

Be careful most of the removal apps are rubbish, you need to delete the malware file from the activity monitor in the utilities folder, and remove the extension in the browser you’re using. I can’t remember the exact steps but you’ll find it if you google activity monitor, good luck.

@ rone – cheers, not too concerned with edit and footage side, more 3D animation and graphics heavy sequences, will have a crack and outsource if needs be.

Direct fit bearings (no cups) in the headtube

Oh yeh, forgot about that. TBH can’t see me changing my current 120 set up, feels spot on.

140 on a Sync? Interesting, might have to give that a try, shorter stem and maybe an angle set headset too.

The Kinesis Sync is definitely not just a flash frame, what you can’t see from the pics is the quality frame build and shaping of the tubes, and the ultra stiff back end 142 x 12 DT Swiss Thru-axle. I said on here many times that for me it’s a very versatile and comfortable bike, from all day long distance or a blast in the woods. It’s loving the winter slop too.

Give it a try, what have you got to lose apart from £££ :)

@rewski apologies, yes SW trains. Southern is the Redhill line.
Didn’t realise you were so local, we should organise a ride out.

Sounds good, I’d be up for that. Might even try and get some hard frosty trails tomorrow am.

Pirate day was interesting. I often ride with the family from cooden/bexhill to hastings during the summer months. St leonards seems to be on the up too and the stade in old town with all the net drying huts is nice. And you might bump into danny rampling.

You could always get a map from Nirvana cycles in Westcott. I tend to ride up to Leith Hill from Westcott, or drop in from top of Ranmore Common, less traffic and longer ride.

If you’re a small then the Kinesis Sync Ti is 650b. Med and Lg are 29, I’ve got the Lg, stunning bike :)

Edit: Beat me to it :)

i’d go for the Dorking – London Bridge option but Southern trains aren’t that great

    southwest trains no?

Southern to LB are busy at the mo due to LB station be totally revamped, won’t be finished for a while, excuse to get back on the bike.

I live in Riddlesdown on the East Grinstead/Oxted line, it’s near Purley not far from South Croydon so have the option of direct trains to LB from there too, I work near St Pauls and often ride to work from there up the A23, it’s about 15 miles each way. MTB wise there’s a fair bit out the door, plenty of hills around Oxted and Woldingham Ridge and North Downs Way all the way to Surrey Hills via Reigate and Box Hill, or if you fancy 30mins on the M25 to Dorking, or another 30 to Swinley Forest.

The Sync is worth a look, it’s a very versatile bike, I often ride all day on mine but wouldn’t hesitate to grab it for a thrash about in the woods or trail centre too. If you want to go made to measure then Enigma Ego Ti is also worth a look.

I’ve tried two bottles of my first batch after 10 days bottle conditioned today, on the whole it’s not bad, it’s a little tangy almost acidic but has a good nose, I wondered at the time whether I used enough sugar, I was being cautious. I also wondered whether my garage was too cold for storage. I’m going to leave it alone for a few more weeks to see what happens.

I seem to recall being able to import text into quark or indesign, got shed loads of code first but the text was there, it was a long time ago so may have used other software, it was back in the days of zip drives, worth trying though.

Weald of Kent is my old neck of the woods, lots of paths and bridleways, we used to either go north to Croakham HIll/Park, great loop on the Greensand Way and Limpsfield Chart, then up to North Downs along The Ridge near Woldingham, you’re in Surrey then mind, you can follow the NDW all the way to Box Hill and Ranmore if you have the legs. We would also ride a bit further south at Abbots Wood near Hailsham and Friston Forest near Seaford, great old school XC if you’re after a change of scene. It’s so frustrating about Ashdown, been chucked off before even getting the bike out the car, must have someone on permenant look out.

Edit – someone mentioned Rotherfield, but I’ve not been, might be worth a venture.

If you can tell the differences between gins there isn’t enough sloe flavour!

I disagree, left for approx 2-3 months, plenty of sloe flavour but some cheap gins have an unpleasant after taste, even straight with tonic. Don’t waste money on boutique gin but don’t buy rubbish. Perhaps I have a highly tuned palette

Done whisky, vodka and gin. Was going to do a canada club and sweeten with maple syrup, then saw bombay now do a london gin, I’ve tried cheap and I could tell it wasn’t great so go for decent, the sloes are free so why no spend money on decent stuff. Back to op, how split were they? If they were a gunky mess I would transfer to new bottle pouring through muslin into a jug first, a cloudy shot of sloe gin looks rank.

The guy I did my day brew course with has just opened an online brew shop, not bought anything yet but I will in due course. I’m going to try my bottle conditioned pale ale at the weekend, feeling strangely nervous.

Actually feel better knowing I’m not alone, Mitch is only 8 months and he’s been a pretty poorly since we had him, we’ve had a few behavioural issues, we’ve been told not to punish him, dogs just don’t respond well to punishment and everyone just gets stressed and anxious. I must say he’s doing so much better now we don’t get angry with him, reward and distraction seems to work.
