At any rate, it’s salutary how everybody seems to have a different story of what happened…

I’d read Joe Boyd’s White Bicycles if I were you, his explanation of what happened seems more plausible, especially as he was there when the so called axe incident happened. In fact he even moved the cable and the axe was being used in a folk song about chopping trees.

Was just reading about Pete Seeger in Joe Boyd’s book White Bicycles, great insight into what really happened in the 60’s with jazz, folk and psychedelia, interesting.

I’m really shocked by this, I always find Audi drivers the most courteous and polite users of the highways, must be an isolated incident.

If you go looking for trouble you’ll usually get it, not sure it deserved a slap though.

Been commuting since new year began

So 20+ days and you’re doing 150 per week, wow, as posts above imply, you’re legs are overworked, rest for a week then try 90 miles a week, but one day on one day off. You’re obviously very fit, but you’ll grow to hate the commute if your pushing too hard, unless you’re training for an epic?

If your legs are aching and keeping you awake then try a magnesium supplement, nesquick contains added magnesium and so does a night-time recovery drink called nochte by sis but far more expensive.

Go on then I’ll bite, before spending money on expensive recovery drinks I’d seriously consider a rest day, I used to do 30 x 5 days, was knackered at the weekend so spoilt the weekend ride, which seemed pointless I cut the commute down, I’m now riding 2-3 times a month and feel much better, joking aside I do intend to build back up to 3 times a week.

EDIT: best recovery is good old fashioned sleep

not sure how old your lad is (or what your stance is) but there is a load of swearing on some of those Minecraft youtube videos. I stopped my kid’s watching them.

good point, usually in the same room, the guy they like is like a posh geek with a laugh like jimmy Carr, harmless I hope.

Yep we have the ps3 version, great value.

It can be confusing because you’re getting HD content in a variety of ways with BT, when it all works you don’t think about it

    1. Freeview HD over the air with Youview e.g.: BBC HD, ITV HD etc
    2. Extra HD Live Channels via multicast ie Fibre (Infinity) Discovery HD, BT Sport HD etc
    3. On Demand HD Films/TV streamed progressively or downloaded via BB or Infinity

Had the DM fitted to mine, impressive, ultra snappy gear change, just makes the overall feel of the bike very lively.

Kinesis gran fondo Ti is a lovely off the peg bike, if I was going custom then I would try enigma, I went to the open day last year, nice guys, both companies local to me in sussex based too. If money was really no object I would even look at a firefly from bespoke. Have you got the 73 degrees book from enigma? Might help your research. 73degrees

Not watched the final episode yet but the wedding episode was slow, it was also littered with clumsy graphics and self indulgent transition wipes and mattes, Cumberbatch’s performance holds it together.

Perfect, I’ll drop you an email. It’s a stunning frame, worth seeing in the flesh as pics sometimes don’t do it justice, like the cloverleaf TT and HT. It’s also a pleasure dealing with Dom at kinesis and upgrade, might also be worth tracking down singlespeedmatt, he’s got one of the small 650b versions, I think he’s lakes based?
