I’m not the only one who notices peoples tyre pressure then?

Anyone lucky enough to ride on the tube strike day? Complete and utter madness, newbies running red lights because they assume it’s the thing to do, must of witnessed 4+ near accidents, all involving red lights.

    Enough is enough people.

flamejob – I must confess to a cheeky bit of off road footpath riding, mainly at night.

I hope you wear your helmet when you jump those red lights TJ :D

If you run red lights then you should expect to get fined or more seriously knocked down. What sort of example is it making to young kids when they see adults breezing through red lights like they’re the only person on the road.

It breaks the system, accidents will happen.

Five tickets and then your bike gets crushed.

Definitely, head over to Friston Forest via Jevington on the SDW, there’s some pretty cool marked singletrack in the forest, a really nice red route, it’s probably very wet and muddy but it’s all good fun and good for technique. The SDW is pretty good too, stunning views on Firle Beacon, all the way to Brighton.

la plagne is perfect, took my 5 year old son, nice wide blues, with a few morning lessons he was on reds by the end of the week. You can also link up with les arc but to be honest there’s plenty to ski in la plagne.

Cynical or what, why can’t you just be a bit more positive, just wait and let it bed in, and short laps will make it interesting, I think the course looks very promising.

Anyone fancy doing a cheeky night ride on it?

In the meantime have a drink and cheer up.

Because it’s old and a botched together NTL and Telewest platform – Virgin sucks, BT Vision UI is pretty slick.

    I’m waiting for YouView.

I might sell my house and move up north then, especially as the people seem so nice.

Benji Haworth obviously hasn’t ridden XC around Croydon, the area is littered with singletrack and bridleways, let alone a short distance from the North Downs Way and Surrey Hills. OK, it’s not 7 Stanes, and you might not be able to hear yourself think over the din of the M25, but it’s still pretty good riding.

Mud X’s are very impressive, I was out on the North Downs at the weekend, very muddy in places, and slippery on damp leaves, the Mud X’s performed extremely well, a friend was on Kenda Nevegals, the tred on his tyres always seemed to have mud packed in the tred, the tred on the mud x’s were totally clear.

514 since May, love it love it love it, climbs like a wippet, I run easton flatboys on mine, nice big platform flats make for great pedalling and stable rolling down fast ST. I test rode a 514 at demo day and ordered one the next day. Just be aware I was very lucky to get one the 514s upwards sell out pretty quick.

Quite muddy between woldingham to reigate, some dryer bits higher up where it’s chalky, beautiful at the weekend in the sun.

Music on Find is pretty cool too:

Dreamer – Molina Soleil & Aju W/ DJ Icewater
Quick Canal (w. Laetitia Sadier) – Atlas Sound
Fly Like a Horse – Sylvain Chauveau
Just for a Day (Sunday) – TM Juke

ahwiles – you should of watched the whole film, I seem to recall dub reggae, hip hop and techno, amazing landscapes and a jump park shot at night in black and white.

Find is pretty cool for cinematography too, although it’s not for the huge air big jump brigade

It depends whether he wants to focus on downhill riding, it sounds like he does, most 10 year olds would, in which case the kona stinky is perfect. You could probably shop around and find a cheaper entry level downhill bike but if he’s got his heart set on a stinky what can you do. That’s going to be a lot of car washing.
