I did it last weekend, it was hard in the heat, I woke up with heavy legs and struggled for the first 70 miles then miraculously got a second wind, will train harder next time. Ti 29er hardtail was a perfect, although a short travel full suss would also be good.

If I didn’t have a Tripster and more £££ I go custom Firefly, Enigma or Reilly.

They also neglected to film all the fridges dumped on Windover Hill. Those yew trees were awesome though.

I had the same issue, with simliar pain and age, mine is osteoarthritis, actuallu having Arthroscopic Surgery tomorrow, also having Platelet Rich Plasma PRP treatment too, prior physio helped strenghten surrounding muscles but pain never really went away, especially after recent ski-ing trip, I intend to be cycling a lot more years so looking forward to a new knee, fingers crossed.

    Best of luck

I usually loop around Lullington Heath when forest is boggy, Red Snapper usually holds up but the roots can get a bit dicey, then again so can the algae on the chalk.

Yep, can’t fault them, less flex than my Easton havens, quite wide for my narrow tree singletrack. Kinesis kit generally ace, biased as I’ve two of there bikes.

Full bike 3-7k depending on components etc, firefly if money no object, Reilly or enigma worth looking at. Don’t discount off the peg, kinesis and mason.

Tempted by Bokeh, ended up going for a great priced Tripster Ti V1, still a Dom Mason classic.

BT Sport 4K is pretty impressive, it’s 50fps too which makes a difference to sharpness and smoothness, I think Sky Q and Netflix are 25-30fps. The HD upscales is very good too.

Which is kind of a bummer, as all the 60 and 57cm V1 frames are now out of stock…

    I bought a V1 60 from Freeborn last week.

Go big or go to a&e more like.

Next time you’re thinking of going Bedgebury just head over to Eastbourne and try Friston Forest.

Next time you’re thinking of going to Swinley just head over to Dorking and try Surrey Hills.

NDW from Woldingham (near East Croydon) > St Marthas Hill nr Guildford > Downslink > Shoreham-by-Sea > SDW to Eastbourne. Either direction would be good, best hills around Eastbourne end, close by Friston Forest and Lullington Heath is worth exploring too.
