I saw it come off and wondered why it wasn’t mentioned.

Pity there wasn’t a water splash in the course.

I’ve done a few 500 mile days on the motorbike, avg around 50mph so long days.
Rode Yeovil to Rammy on the road in one go 225 miles on a mtn bike with front and rear panniers weighing in at 65lbs, set off at 9am and arrived home around 2am. Previously hit 197m touring in France in a day and was a bit annoyed that i didn’t cross the 200 barrier that time but there was a campsite and it was after 11pm when i stopped.

I’ve a sony hx9v and it’s excellent. I took 1400 pics in rome and only a handful were duff.
Video is also very good excellent stabilisation and sound. Spare batteries are also cheap.

I bought a sony hx9v a few weeks ago and i really like it. The pics are good and the 16 times optical zoom is great. The video is excellent, there may be a 2 sec delay before it starts video recording but i use that time to steady the camera. Panorama shots are good fun, handheld twilight is also a good feature. Build quality is nice and the silly pop up flash is easy to get used to. The sony picture motion browser software is pretty good (i’ve limited experience of other software tho). All in all I like it alot.

My motorola defy is good. Sim free around £230 from a few retailers, tesco mobile sim card £10mth for plenty of texts 500mb net and either 250/500min talk depending on length of contract.
No i don’t work for motorola or tesco but both are pretty good.

I ran a few years ago at Pamplona, it was entertaining. The bull ring straight after was funny with a little bull with corks on its horns running through the crowd!
The uk should hold similar events on saturday mornings in town centres, most shoppers/runners would be drunk (like in Pamplona) and it’d force people into the shops to spend money!

UK Defys have just been updated to 2.2.2 today :-). My defy survived a 1hr 15mile commute in pouring rain yesterday in the back pocket of my cycling top. Happy with the cost and performance, there are some ‘cheap’ dual cores out there now but would they withstand the rain?

other vid should be near the linked one.
I was stuck on a marshall point so vids are only from this area :(

I bought a sony as I’d owned a minolta prior. Good cameras, dad has bought an a33 and it is very good except the battery performance which is poor compared to my a200.

I have had a quick go on my friends desire s which was running 2.3. Compared to my defy it looked modern and felt sturdy. As for the os improvements and the sense overlay compared to my 2.1 blur (soon to be 2.2) it was similar. Some differences with the menus etc. front facing camera on the s ,but how much it’d be used I’m not sure.. Processor is better than the defy but I doubt it’d be noticed unless playing games.
    Not tried a hd!

Just buy one and try not worry too much about os stuff.

Aim for a phone with a decent screen resolution. I bought a defy for £245 sim free and have opted for a £10/month rolling contract with tesco which gives loads of texts 500mb and 250min.
A pal bought a desire s for 30 a month (24) but for that price I’d be aiming for a dual core phone.

Aim also to ride the new link route towards cragg quarry (out the back of lee quarry in the direction of the turbines). The cragg quarry loop has been extended and improved, well worth a visit.

I can vouch for the wind also. I rode into a solid headwind back over the
Link track to cragg quarry and rode at walking pace past the turbines going downhill.

On a different note it looks as if one of the turbines has self destructed!
The blades and tower were all covered in soot and the exposed generator looked burnt out.

I’ve had a few goes with a Sony A33. I own an a200 so my opinions sway towards the sony brand at the moment. The A33 is a good camera, plenty of features and decent video recording. Battery life is a bit poor tho’.
I read that the A33 is due for a refresh so there may be an opportunity to purchase in the sales in the not so distant future.

I shall make the effort to ride over, it’ll give me a chance to ride the new link route between Cragg and Lee quarry again.

I own 2 apple products, an original mac mini and a 2nd gen itouch. the itouch is great and the mini still works. Would i spend my cash on a 2nd gen ipad? tempting but i think the android competition is worthy of a try if i was buying a tablet.

Nice dry and sunny in Rammy today Neil. I only change my tyres when they have worn out. It takes time too appreciate how the tyres handle and change over their lifespan. That said if i changed my tyres more often to conditions i might get out more often?

I rarely do the music video thing, typically listen
too music rather than watch it, I’d imagined a totally
different person and group to what I saw tonight.
Maybe I should watch videos of all the songs I like?

I don’t watch the programme but do drive the trams, so i’ll make an effort to tape it and then fast forward to the crash. I expect that they will blame the driver! they used a mock up of the old style tram painted in the new colours from what i saw on the depot.

I'm 5'7" and ride a 2009 mk111 in the medium size, bought from evans at the sale price.
never had a problem with the standover height as the top tube is sloped. Absolutley amazing bike for the money.
The bike does sit high due to the bb height but I imagine that most bikes with 5" travel also do.
