Kia picanto would be my choice. I’ve not driven any of the other cars mentioned above though. 1.25l version is pretty nippy.

Honor 7 has a great camera. Sony 20mp sensor. Phone costs around £210 if you are lucky to buy it when it is discounted from vmall. Excellent phone all round for the money.

I bought a waterproof case and a £20 bag of mounts which includes the chest mount and plenty of other fittings. The camera in its case went swimming with me and the video footage was very good. It handled going from underwater to bright sunlight with ease. I’m going to pick up dash cam version when they release it with an English language setting.

I went from dslr to sony hx9v a few yrs back (which was a great camera) then had the same dilemma on all the faff of dslr lenses and opted for the panasonic fz1000 as pictured above. Great camera, plenty of features, excellent android app for remote control and transferring pics by wifi to phone but a little on the big sid ecompared to the sony compact for carrying easily on the bike. Still enjoy using it. Take a look at the samsung cameras also for an alternative to the major brands.

I thought the ‘mastermind’ of the Brownbacks race series did a pretty good job. Don’t put yourself down.
I will still probably ride the trails in and around the quarries just like I did 25yrs ago when I first rode them, nobody stopped me back then.

Huewei Honor 7. That’s what I went for. Decent camera, cpu, expandable memory, 6.0 early next year, made by the company thats making one of the google phones. £209 I think is the current price but £250 otherwise.

I’ve watched Attack on titan. Having watched Kill la kill, all 5 available series of Hunter x Hunter, pyscho pass, the irregular at magic high school to name but a few I thought it was ok. Whilst most manga story lines are far fetched it seemed somewhat in a no mans land of believabiltiy and un reality?? Now , I have re watched Kill la Kill, Gurran Lagan and have started on Hunter x Hunter again whilst waiting for more series and episodes to appear from Fairy Tail (of which there are several series already made), the final series of Hunter x Hunter etc. I will look forward to watching the feature film of Attack on titan if it is released on netflix in future. Apologies for the poor grammer, I should spend more time reading books than watching cartoons!

I have just returned to motor biking after 4 years off. I used to ride a 1200 bandit, now I ride a 110cc scooter! I had kept all my gear so no extra costs in re starting biking. Scooter is purely for the commute hopefully saving me some time rather than using public transport or the car.

I’m going to recommend the manga series that are available on Netflix. Kill la kill, gurran Laggan, hunter x hunter, knights of sidonia, pyscho pass to name a few that I’ve watched. All entertaining and occasionally difficult to get in to depending on the style of animation and wether you choose subtitles or dubbed versions.

I’ll be watching the race with interest. Good luck to both of you.

Saw a few mtn bikes around pyli Old Town. Using maps.me it shows all the main trails on the island. Went through the plaka near the airport also which has some trails and peacocks.

It’s a pleasant 25c at the moment so riding is possible. I’ve seen more road bikes also. The mountain roads are good but I expect they will be filled up with coaches, cars, quads and beach buggies next month and be driven erratically! Take some hiking trainers so you can summit the mountain if the biking doesn’t materialize.

The hills around pyli and zia look interesting. There also seems to be plenty of woods on the mountain side. I only have driven through the area. The area around kefalos has lots of dusty tracks also. Bike hire is plentiful around Kos, I saw giant advertised alot. Bike hire around kefalos is limited to city bikes and very cheap mtn bikes. Not sure about access regs but the quad bike seem to go everywhere and down the tracks to the beaches.

No harm in having more teeth at the back. I rode alpe d huez a few yrs ago with a compact and a 30 on the back and was pleased I had it. If I’d gone out with the 25teeth the bike came with it would of been hard. I was reasonably fit also, just over an hour from bottom to the alpe d huez village.

i should of said that it was ‘nice to see the average speed increase during the attempt’. He didn’t seem too tired at the end so maybe he should of attempted the 2 hr record! (apologies for the comments, i did watch it in the pub)!

it was interesting as his average speed increased during the attempt.
They did take a blood sample from his ear as soon as he finished i assume for a drug test?

I use a fold flat bbq like the one in the link above and it works great when camping. Only paid £13 from one of the cheap discount stores that live on retail parks across the land.
I bought a cage type handle grill thing for holding the sausages and other foods also which worked really well also.

I thought you could use your phone whilst on your bike as it is not a motorised? I’m probably wrong though?
Motorcyclist was wrong in this instance.

Check the sync settings for your apps. Google might have ticked all the boxes to sync all their apps like drive and google+. I found that un checking all the sync options for programmes that i don’t use the phone then stopped trying to sync the data across multiple devices and the battery life improved.

Both left and centre seat behind front passenger removed. The 29er back wheel sits between the front seats but it doesn’t obstruct elbow or hand brake. Front passenger seat was in a mid position.
Mine is a step up from a W reg 3 door 206 so i’m enjoying the extra space and power.
Got a black one, the scout version has tinted rear windows also so it looks ok and it’s harder to see in.

I’ve got one, the scout version. Bought recently so no long term opinions yet. They were mentioned in a thread around xmas which brought them to my attention.

First thing i did was to see how many bikes i could get in it. With only the front wheels off i can get 2 mtbs in standing upright behind the passenger seat comfortably. I could probably get 3 bikes in and have 1 rear passenger seat at a squeeze. I made up an internal mount using some wood and 2 bike hitch fork mounts to stand them up. There are some fixed mount points in the footwells and boot to attach a ratchet strap to also.

They drive well (but i’m no expert on how other cars drive). The 1.9tdi i’ve got is returning around 50mpg on mainly urban roads with a bit of motorway. I am trying hard to gain this mpg though.

I bought from a skoda dealer which seemed like the best place to get one when i was looking. Mine also has a towbar and roof rails, don’t buy without the rails as i understand that it is impossible to fit a roof rack otherwise.

Happy? yes. Would i buy another? yes.

The gf has a Samsung robot. It’s like a sweeper rather than a Hoover. It can be programmed to sweep up at set times. It doesn’t like black or high pile carpets. Works ok on wooden floors. Struggles with corners and occasionally forgets to clean part of the room. Can’t clean the car either!
If I had to get another one I’d buy a neato xv.
If I only needed a lightweight rechargeable upright I’d go for one of the air’ram’ones that sell for around 200.

I’ve run 2 sets of winter tyres, hankook ice cept and a goodyear on a 206 and a punto. Both on the front for 2 years straight. they both perform very well in wet conditions as well as the occasional bit of snow. No noticable loss in performance or fuel use on either. better than aquaplaning in the wet in summer.

A few times many years ago when I was at uni. No problems with other riders getting punctures or falling off! Up and down the Llanberis track.
