i think what the OP has listed is quite normal tbh.
my oldest two boys are 8yrs and 13yrs and have lots of gadgets and game stuff , but so do most of the other kids at their schools.
i cant compare it to when i was a child as these things were not invented then. 😀

i want to go to this .
but i will be driving to London , so does anybody know if its near a tube station. i could leave my car at the start of northern line or picadilly line and get the tube if parking is not good.

Twin Lakes has a lot of indoor stuff (and outdoor stuff) , but is in Leicestershire so may be too far.
they have a sister park called Woodlands at Dartmoth, Devon which may be closer? haven’t been to this park though so cant say if its as good.

travel systems are best if you use a car a lot as you can lift baby, in car seat , from pram to car and viceversa without having to wake baby.
if you dont use a car often then a parent facing pram/carrycot is ok.
once baby is about 4-5mths and sitting more upright in the pram you may want to get a buggy. they are really lightweight and maclaren have height adjustable handles and also lie flat for when baby sleeps, but the downside is they are not facing you.
i had a bebe confort Loola as my pram and my partner at the time was fine pushing it and he was 6ft3. they are quite heavy though so i got the maclaren techno xt buggy too.

yes my oil filled radiator clicks on and off as i leave it set on the thermostat.
i have never had a convector/panel heater type before , thats why i was wondering if they were better at heating a large cold room.

my challenge for 2011 is to find myself a nice new man 😉

also, to learn how to look after my bike properly myself 😀
i did the CRC Grassington ride last year, it was the first time i had ridden off road and i was rubbish. so i would like to try again and be a bit better this year.

how do you work it if you have kids from a previous relationship living with you though?
i ask because my ex never wanted to contribute towards the bills, rent etc , saying why should he pay for my kids. he lived here with us as a family but i had to pay everything. he would occasionally buy a bit of food but never anything substantial. i didn’t expect him to pay for my kids, but i did expect him to pay his share of bills etc. it caused a lot of arguments. (hence he is now an ex!)
how would others do this ?

it’s all for the kids, honest 😉

my pipe froze yesterday and the boiler kept cutting out, a safety thing i guess.
so i pulled the outside part of the pipe off , and its now draining into a plant pot.
didnt know it was acidic, may well have a dead plant soon then.
my property is HA owned and two nights have passed now with nobody turning up to fix it, so had to do it myself. i dont really know what i’m doing though 😳

depends if your going to north notts, they have the worst snow.
i live in south notts and its only the side roads, country lanes thats are slidy, but still drivable if you are careful.

when i turned 30 i thought i should feel more responsible and grown up, but i didnt, and still don’t 😛
there is nothing you should or shouldnt have done by now, apart from enjoy life. it goes far too quickly and dwelling on ‘what if’s’ gets you nowhere.
thats what i think anyway 😀

i am not a very experienced or good or fast rider (yet 😉 ) so it would just really embarass me if somebody rode past and offered advice as they went. even if it was with good intentions, i would probably just be put off riding there again 😐

i got the Bebe Confort Loola as my main pram as it lies flat and faces rearwards and forwards . that was essential as a lot only face forwards. it is rather heavy though.
so i also got a Maclaren techno xt buggy for the car, it lies flat, folds and unfolds one handed and is very light.
