My weekend started as a weekend- then with commitments it has turned into a sat day bike at Kielder and now that doesnt look like it warrants the effort- what about Keswick?
Not a fan of the shore! Scared probably but do like the fast singeltrack and dont mind the jumps

I am coming off the back of 6" fs so thought the big tyre would help- it maybe is a bit overkill, but its quite light for its size.
Bike came with a Kenda small block 8 on it but in local woods its useless as its a bit of a mudfest in there

DX at that price will warranty be an issue?
Handlebar mounted lights are dead- terrible to use on tight stuff and uphill/downhill make the beam useless!
Good for road work and back up, but MTB its a helmet mount all the way

Camp on one of the Islands- theres a NT owned one where you can book and reserve- bit of an experience. You leave from Balmaha on a ferry boat- cost about £2 for the ferry!Thenn on that side of the Loch you have the west highland way and to ride and Ben Lomond at night (too busy during day)

MM I thought I had MM installed in this PC but I dont, sorry was gonna give you grids that you can link up.

Arrochar is good start point as 2 longish routes available from there and you could camp wild on Loch Lomond :)

    Loch Lomond Arrochar Alps Trip
Start arrochar up cobbler start and then bear right round to dam, downhill (rock n rubble- nice)then left up only bit of tarmac (but single trak) then down winding zigzags onto a82- along road for mile or two then back up into cobbler country and over the lumpy bumpy descent back into Arrochar

Yes Zippy I know what you mean, we have had Islabikes for our boy and you do not lose any money on them and they are GREAT, was thinking that I could build a bike up cheaper as I had a bunch of wheels and parts in garage- possibly not!:)

I know some people say its free stop moaning- maybe they have a point- but CRC used to be spot on for next day delivery. Nowadays they are not. It seems to sit in pick for sometime rather than same day despatch. I work for a company where we aim to have any orders keyed into the sytem pre 2pm for next day delivery FOC. We are good at that but nothing compared to the likes of Amazon etc who can take your order at 5.50pm and its at your door next morning!

Hey Daniel, not a nice thing to go through!
Fit is everything! At that age if you want some proper protection then look at Carbon helmets- expensive but its the weight issue for such a young child, their head is already heavy compared to the rest of their body, so any added weight up there makes them work much harder.
I kitted my girl up with a Giro Remedy. I increased the cheek and forehead padding by putting extra pads under the original padding. It now fits like a dream and so far no issues. You will need to take her around shops and try them for size. bring extra padding :) and your credit card- but having gone through a+E already how can you not justify some money for your childs safety

I drove last year from nykoping airport. It was about 450 miles of lovely Swedish roads and countryside. On way back we split it into 2 days and a bit of a xc drive. This year we got the night train from gothenburg to are.12 hours while you sleep. It was great.

Are is good for the bikepark. I didn't really explore anywhere else. Loads of mtb shops in are that will give you the local lowdown. The bike shop at the train station has an English guy called Andy working for them. He has been here about 6 years and was really helpful and will no doubt be able to help! It's been REALLY wet in are for a while so bring your crude catcher!

I will measure the spacers when it gets back to me. Just shipped it back from summer hols. I have 2 mid size spacers on it. Maybe they are only 10mm each then. I did run it today with 1 spacer above the stem, didn't have any negatives but didn't have any massive pros either. Maybe I need to go flush to frame and get used to it
