Anyone know what the weight of the whyte wheels are. (Lazy I know) but does save me taking discs tyres cassette off if I do go for dropper instead

Its has some nice parts on it
    Formual The One Brakes
    XO shifters

But I think everything else is burly
    Pikes- Burly!
Straitline MTB Cut special edition Flats – burly
    Renthal Bars – burly

    And so on

think I am too stuck back in the days when I did uplift days on SX Trails and DH bikes- now I use the suspension etc to get me out of trouble- time for a change!

Thanks- this does sound like I have to sell up or swap and get a 120mm bike like a Camber or similair?
I would be buying second hand- ideally just need to find someone that wants to go burly from more XC type and swap :)

Really not hardball? Thought xc Sussex was still too weighty and inefficient?

For which frame, I take it your thinking Spicy, but is a RP2 not about 300 alone, frames from lapierre are about 1300 on their own, so I was thinking maybe 50% at worst so 650 odd?

I will be travelling down from Glasgow with 10 year old, so really only Sat or Sun for us. Not sure how long she could stand- I know I will love it- its just trying to keep her into it as I think she would like it

She is on rigids at moment and CX season is over so MTB will be the way forward for now and Air forks for light weight addition to bike and also for setting them up correctly!
instantly thought of SIDS but the MZ could be good too.
Budget is cheapo so older is fine as long as they work- lock out would be nice.

Not seen anything direct for Kirr today, however GT + Inners icy- Dumfries area – Mabie b roads atrocious and poster doubted if youi would get into Mabie car park, he then went on to say Kirr was due snow today!
Hoping to get out myself tomorrow- Kirr was looking the best bet out of all the good stanes sites- but if travelling far could be a bit dissapointing according to poster

    Haha mixed bag-
    Spec looked good
Carbon rear end surely better than Speccy?

Are we all being Brand snobs???

    Advantage- 2.25 or thereabouts-
    Big volume
    Light weight
has been good to me on a variety of terrain and different bikes
Had a thought that it may be a bit rear specific so put a Toro on the front for more steering – it was TERRIBLE- straight back on the with Advantage!!

Bikelove, good service! Carl is CRC team mechanic(Cunningham’s) nowt in stock
Freeflow- loads in stock and are on the case with brands. Everything bling I ever wanted they had instock unlike every other retailer in Glasgow. They have a unit which is manned by good staff, shop can be a little hit/miss depending if the bosses are in. I have never had anything to complain about them.
    Alpine – nice but uninspiring
dales – as alpine. More bikes but lacking in decent parts
Gear- good friendly indie and fixie/ss specialists
Evans braehead- typical major. Always seem understaffed and rely on their pc deals rather than what’s there
Cyclelane- ok bit small and don’t hold great parts stock

@ IainC wasn’t me or any of our party at GMBC (unless someon is getting in some sneaky training as we found it a long day)- only other rider I saw on Black route was a young lad on a rocky mountain, nobody else all day!

I bought the Troy Lee ones for my brother for his birthday- not had a shot of them yet-but I do wish I had kept them for myself :)
I am a Ruffian Guy and have just bought Vanderham signature Ruffian grips and they're ace!
Better than the Spank ones I had on before that were Ruffian style but shit compound
