yep you do the long climb and then you do the first proper section which brings you to "energy" i think it was called and then go off to do w2 which includes some of the wall and then back to do the rest of whites!!

i was dying at the end mind :D

ok i was knackerd after the second climb up at the start but after then its all ok.

whites isnt that technical tbh.

whites and w2 are both doable in a day!

i find my inbred a bit flexy in the top tube to be honest and was thinking a 456 might be better.

my top tube is 24.1 inches (61.2cm)

the 456 18" frame is 23.5 inches (59.7 cm)

thats 1.5 cm according to google??

thats not too much to make up with a stem is it!!

now …… standard inbred or 456 for a 17 stone bloke!

im 6 foot with 32" leg.

i did try an 18" after selling my full suss but that felt cramped , i might not have give it enough time to get used to it before going for the 20" to be honest though.

might try an 18" 456 then.

yep thats what i mean .

im cofortable with how im sat on the bike and with the 50mm stem the length is ok (even though i tend to ride with my finger tips for some reason??)

the problem im getting now is with the 50mm stem i getting the front end coming up and wondering on climbs .

i was thinking a 20" 456 frame which is slightly shorter and a 70mm stem might do the trick ??

what do you think.

stem is 50 mm race face jobbie, think it might be to short as the front end is coming up on climbs all the time.

im starting think i cant ride anymore!!!

nah what i am thinking is that prehaps my bike might be a bit too big for me and cant really move around on it, so end up just staying in one place on it which might lead to the problems im having as ive not had it on any of the bikes ive owned before??

frame is a 20" inbred , im 6 foot, could it be too big?

see i think i was gripping with my legs as well as i have rubbed the inside of my leg sore on the seatstay!!

also remember getting a bit of pain in my leading foot/leg too!!

i was holding on tight!!as i was getting bashed around big style on the descents !! perhaps my fork rebound is to quick ??

wasnt just on whites level but most of the downhill stuff on w2 aswell.

i use ritchey foam grips and havent had a problem before with them??

brakes are hayes nine with 160mm rotors , would going to 180mm make a big difference?

could it just be that im not used to rocky descents and i was just holding on tooo tight?

yep my hands and feet were i tatters just trying to hold on !!

of course my mate on his full susser said he felt fine!!

would of tried skyline today tbh but im still aching after yesterday.

yes i ve been in the mob now as a weapons tech for 11.5 years.

just got back from a 3 year tour in cyprus where i did no end of sports and spent hardly any time at work!!

however ive just come back to the worst posting i could of not wished for working with the army!!

im actually getting to the point of throwing it all in to b honest !!

dont let that put you off though, as long as you stay away from anything to do with the army you will have a brilliant time in the RAF and make some great friends.

ive gop this on my revs .
i spoke to tftuned and thery told me it was play in the u turn helix.

they also said they can take most of the play away during servicing but it isnt anything to worry about.

i will keep the inbred i think as i like riding it !!
but still going to look out for a full suss frame!!!

**** ell im nowhere near that good on my ht!!

im off to wales in two weeks and we are doing skyline ,whites level and the wall over a log weekend so is this the type of terrain for a full susser or will it be doable on a ht??

ive had a few full sussers over the years but always end up going back to a hardtail(always inbreds too)

this time it feels different though?

i just feel more clumsy on my hardtail and sort of batter my way through rough trails , i keep getting pinch flats on the back wheel too.

i m a heavy lad so i find it hard sometimes to throw my weight around too.

my last full suss was a norco fluid i bought from a lad on here and it was perfect but a little small for me.

i think i need somthing like an early trance frame or a fsr stumpy frame.

just somthing to take the edge of the rough stuff.
