Do the same wheels get used on other bikes in the range, for example like Boardman with their road bikes / hybrids?

If you think you’re buying a set of racing wheels, stating they can take 38mm tyres probably doesn’t fit the thoroughbred image some buyers will have created in their heads.

disc/wheel alignment? space out both sides and your disc is in the wrong place*, space just the none disc side and your tyre is offcentre.
*No idea if disc calliper slots are wide enough to cover this or not

5mm (or less, assuming tolerance in caliper mounts) offset spacer between the rotor and the hub with longer bolts or an offset spider ? One for Superstar…

Sram launch 148 Boost cranks that don’t work with 142mm hubs?

3 bloody mm each side makes that much of a difference?

I’ve wrapped an offcut from a chainstay protector, with a slot cut into it around the cnc part. It’ll either kill or cure.

I’m still contemplating the integrated headset, looks like it would’ve fitted…

Most people will never know it is a cheap part.

When it fails, the shop fixes it.

Sales guy told me a likely replacement/refund may be issued, however this was only his opinion.

But I was told they would be replacing it with a new frame or bike.
Again this was just an update on my progress

Those things aren’t the same thing.

    For £380 @ 10.5KG

Spend £270 reducing weight, 1KG should be easily doable, more if you sell the parts you take off.

    £50 for rack and mudguards.

My interpretation of the second scenario is that there is speculatively space within the SUV for the bike. This is based on assumptions such as the pre-existing contents of the boot being minimal. As such, I am prepared to accept half marks for my answer.

I hate to keep talking about headsets, but did you fit an internal or external lower cup?

Has anyone fitted an internal lower cup and checked that the crown doesn’t foul the cables/downtube?

Would it be fairly ridiculous to angleset from the outset? Any views on this from those that have ridden one?

The cheap option is the Nukeproof

The Hope option (twice the cost) with the adapter is probably the more future proof option if you see a tapered fork / another 44mm headtube frame in your future.

Had the British Gas guy round fixing a 8 year old Isar 35 today. Known as unreliable, the upside is that boiler repairmen will always have spares in the van!

Same here. Think it’s definitely going to need an external lower headset due to the cable routing.

Has the Structural Engineer now advised of what needs to be specified, hence the £9k? SE at fault unless they advised/stated a proviso for additional surveys to be undertaken or relied on information from the Architectural tech (which they really shouldn’t).

Charity is now the group funding of something that in the grand scheme of things amounts to a fairly frivolous purchase for someone who is most likely able bodied?

What is the crown/downtube clearance like? I’m thinking of using a 150mm fork so would like to fit an integrated headset to keep the front end at the same height.

I’d be very surprised if the banger racing fraternity haven’t already bought this.

Will it weigh more or less than Lisa Riley in a centrifuge?

Thanks for the PSA. Quoted weight seems on the high side compared to other sources, maybe it’s wrong or there’s more steel in there, but for £104 shipped, can’t complain.

That Cube frame is a bargain but straight head tube.

Semi integrated though, so will probably work with tapered/straight steers and the right headset.

I find it refreshing in an age of trial by social media that Wiggle haven’t adopted the “Innocent Smoothie” style of slushie internet correspondence in response to an accusation that they weren’t given the chance to discuss privately.

In their mind maybe the old trails are stable whereas the new trails may be built out of rotten wood and red bull cans.
