Two Spoons, one Knife and some Bontrager thing which is a similar shape. No complaints; I also get on with Flites, Bel Airs, Ritchey Vector shaped things, SLRs – loads are ok. Only Fizik Gobis are in Room 101!

That’s how I have my RX set – I’ve not got the biggest hands in the world (small gloves in most brands). They’re not anywhere near the end of adjustment, so will go a fair bit closer to the bar. I’ve had these for a couple of years and been very happy with them.

Yowch! I had no idea you’d had an accident, sorry to hear the news. :( I haven’t got much to add to everyone else’s advice, except…….There’s only so much free time to ride a bike, and that time is best spent on the trails. :D Hope you sort something soon.

Great glasses for the money – lens quality is good and most of the range fit well. Have a look at BBB “Winner” as well, BSG39.

I love Dick…….ooh, hang on , let me re-phrase that – um, Philip K Dick is ace.
Scanner Darkly is my favorite, closely followed by Man in The High Castle.
Film adaptations have never quite captured the dark paranoia. It took me several watches of Blade Runner before I enjoyed it as a film in it’s own right, instead of trying to be the novel it was taken from.

I’ve just fitted a Deus crank into an XT BB – no problems, no massive torque required, and it’s staying put fine. fit the BB as usual with the correct number of spacers for your bb shell. The crank axle should have two 1mm spacers on the non-drive side, plus a 2.5mm neoprene crush washer for pre-load. As far as i can see, that’s the important bit which you may be missing.

Matthewlhome made the point that the Cross Check weighs a ton. I only rode one a few times, but that’s my over-riding memory of it – heavy, dull and rather dead feeling, certainly not a bike I’d want to own or even ride again.

Dragging men around shops? That’s just cruel and must be a breach of their human rights.

Sorry, mate – I just aged! Started riding MTBs in my 20s – here I am in my 40s, still riding. What’s with all these Johny-come-latelys clogging up my trails?

Mark – yes, a Joe Murray decal and a TBG head badge would make it a Kona. Sure someone could ID it if you post a picture.

Where do you start? On The Beach, Tonight’s The Night and Zuma would be my top three, but blinkin’ heck, what a back catalog the man’s got. Even the dross is good, the much slated Re-Actor is one of my faves cos it’s a rough piece of toss-away sh**e, and I love Broken Arrow too even thought the sound quality is awful

    Gear outer @ £4 per metre = 16
    2 gear wires at 2.50 each = 5
    Ferruls, 65p each = 1.30
    Cable caps @ 5p each = 20p

Grand total of £22.50 in the local bike store. :-)

    £31 sounds expensive to me.

My other half’s a fan – i can take it or leave it. “Benidorm”, on the other hand has me counting down the minutes till the next episode! :-) Funniest sit-com i’ve seen for a long time.

Well, it’s a “one size” bag so should be fine for small boots too. Deflation?? Well, ok, it does look a little flat in that picture, but I can pump it up for you, no trouble

The re-runs are on “Challenge”. It also shows old episodes of “Bullseye” – it’s great TV to veg out to – checkin’ the eighties fashion and haircuts and moustaches. And the prizes from the Argos catalog…………

After much thought, I’d like to nominate The Eagles “Hotel Clifornia” for it’s nauseating drum work and godawful guitar solo. Closely followed by Led Zep’s “Stairway To Heaven” and anything by Abba.

There’s a lot of questions there where both or neither answers apply. Being able to tick all relevant answers would be better.

I’ve got a “blue” medium weight spring spare if it’d help. Suits Vanilla 125 – same spring works in 100 and 80mm modes.
