Just for the record, i had some RL Sektors ,& thought they were awesome, i swapped them for some Revelations ,cos they were cheap & looked like Pikes, in all black, & i can honestly say they were a waste of £,in relation to performance gains, as there isn’t any over the Sektors, i cant tell the difference !..

So I hope you sort them fella,as they’re a great fork..

I recently bought some revelations from all tricks, & only paid £260 delivered ,so the price out weighed the warranty issues to me,besides you’ll be having them serviced regularly by a specialist anyway won’t you ??.

I’ve got an s6 edge,& came from an iphone 5s,which was great ,but the edge just blows it away ,I was out for 4.5 hours on Saturday ,with endomondo on ,upon my return the battery was at 57%,the iphone would last 1.5hr from a full charge to flat !.

The other features are awesome too ,& its lightening fast,love it !

Theyre certainly no worse,as the Sektors were pretty good,but apart from them lookin like Pikes,they don’t feel any different !

I went from a 140 sector to a 150 rev & can deffo tell the difference..fwiw. 😉

I’ve been on the iphone programme since a 3gs,but jumped to a s6 edge & wow !,speed battery life ease of use etc are all way better than an iphone 6 ,imao ..

Ive had two a 111 and a 115,both lwb’s & now got a VW,i would have another one in a breath !,my 115 had a 200bhp re-map & would do 35mpg and 130mph..

it had 98k on when I sold it,and I miss it…loads..

I make sure there’s a reasonable amount of grease around all my bearings,it’s helps keep both crap & water out !.

how young ?,I suppose its trail centre so you can run up & down the fire roads with young kids etc,but I personally wouldn’t take a kid unless they were early teens & could habdle a bike,on the main trails..its a bit too rocky & stuff for beginers,imao..

you wont be using them tail gator jobbies either..only on the fire roads etc.

I have more than 20 + years mechanical experience and I use one yes ,all you’ll need is 1/4 drive one 3-15nm.

Andylc, my comments are purely personal and I do rate Hope,having said that people like what they like ,we are all different ,I just like the feel & modulation of Hope,I have them on 3 bikes,that said I’ve read good/bad comments on all brakes …

At the end of the day the Op asked for oppinions & like you I gave mine ..

If its feel you want keep the Hope,if its power on/off no feel buy them guides,i know what I’d be doing …..Hope,everytime,pads,bleed set up etc…

Don’t even mention reliability & after sales…as Northwind says,they are Avid based arnt they ,nuff said…
